ART, SCULPTURE AND BRONZES:  Lots of it! Over fifty prints and original artworks available this year, including strong graphic scene --along the Danube in  Budapest --  by Hungarian artist, Ferenc Bordás (1911 - 1982); many other works by listed and/or gallery artists such Chaim Gross, Frank Hopper, Thornton Utz, P. López, J. Durand, Halloran, Thompson Tunison and J. Harvey; Haitian artists feature with vintage vivid oil by Haitian Joel and work by Jacques Geslin; two 1969 Philip Sutton signed wood block prints; several very nice boat and marine paintings, including large scene of lighthouse in moonlight by Eugene Balardelle who showed in NYC in 1950’s; framed Miro and Picasso posters and bold Badenesque red and yellow theatre posters from 1970’s; Native American prints by Bob Dale and super realistic Native American traditional attire painting signed Luis; Chinese Leopard print by Guy Coheleach; some nice tile art by Haitian artist de Vendegies and by Venezuelan E. Rojo, and also three hand-painted Dutch scenic tiles; several attractive bronzes, including 11" rare 1883 - 1913 era bronzed spelter bust of Carmen by highly-regarded Franz Iffland; bronze Native American figure "Keeper of the Flame" by Clay Pryerton for the Noble Collection; jade-toned marble abstract sculpture by Zerbe, rotates on base... and much more.  NOTE:  Almost all our artworks are framed, but we crop frames out in many photos.

FEATURED WORK OF ART:  Acquire a bit of history: We have a masterful 1838 portrait from the Philadelphia school, possibly from the circle of Sully.  The sitter is Henry Schell who was a councilman in Philadelphia and grandfather to the important naval, battle artist and illustrator, Frederick B. (Boley) Schell (1838 - 1902).  Descended through the family and donated by great-great-great-grandson of sitter.  Sensitive rendering from artist clearly interested in psychology of subject.  In elegant heavy gold frame. 

BASKETS: Longaberger baskets from the 1980’s-90’s; Native American baskets, including two bear grass and yucca Papago peoples baskets; Yoruba glass bead basket; assorted miscellaneous baskets, including a few sweet grass  

BOOKS:  Three rare limited edition miniature books by Chiswick and Black Cat Presses -- Abraham Lincoln, Death of Lincoln, An Address of Carl Sandburg; miniature books from Budapest; miniature 1940’s Webster's Dictionary with 18,000 words; miniature 1st volume of Longfellow’s Hiawatha; an historic book, The Plain Dealer 1842 – 1942, first edition with inscription by Archer H. Shaw, a 30-year editor with Cleveland Plain Dealer; coffee table books on Faberge, Civil War history and African and Asian culture; two rare, prized E. Pelletan art edition publications: 1930 Romances sans Paroles with illustrations by Charles Guerin and 1927 La Bonne Chanson with illustrations by C. E. Carlègle; a lovely rare miniature celluloid/ ivorine Little Key of Heaven dating to Michael Augustine Corrigan, Archbishop of NY, who died in 1900; a 100-year-old Polyglot Bible; vintage magazines, including National Lampoon; limited edition numbered coffee table book “Lalique” with sleeve

CHINA, CRYSTAL, PORCELAIN, SILVER:  Pair of antique Imari double-handled urns/vases; large hand painted Imari charger; glistening vintage blanc-de-chine standing happy Buddha, holding pearls of wisdom; fine crystal and glass including Waterford, Steuben, Swarovski, Murano; many beautiful glass bowls, wine goblets, plates and vases; Asian cloisonnés objects and vintage Asian figurines; collection of fine porcelain birds by Boehm, Cybis; sweet Italian faîence trinket or potpourri box with rose finial; more by Belleek, Zolnay and Philippe Deshoulieres; rare early Dresden soldier, Officer, 3rd Guards,1822 by Carl Thieme; and two full tables of silver plate and sterling from Barbour, Poole, Sheridan, Bristol and others, includes several tea sets, serviceable trays and compotes and three pretty salt and peppers -- just in time for holiday entertaining; and this just in -- two vintage Pillivuyt rabbit or hare terrines or casseroles -- utterly charming

DESIGNER FINDS:  Sweet, fine Asian jade carving of flowers and birds from the estate of Virginia Toulmin; big, bold fire engine red Chinese-style mirror, substantial looking but lightweight for easy hanging; many warmth- and interest-adding books and a few class-it-up bronzes; two quality 1980’s cherry and myrtle round lamp tables by Century from their Capuan Collection, retailed for $1795 -- dealers, these would fly out the door in Atlanta; two Jetsonesque black plastic and chrome mid-mod saucer-seat barstool chairs; large decorative art glass chargers; large brass Spanish house warmer; gemstone globe; several decorative boxes, hand painted, wooden and inlaid; a large table full of masculine office/study accents from clocks to bookends and buckles that give a man's space character and interest; and a lovely aged original Franz Iffland bronzed spelter bust of Carmen, perfect for an opera buff client

FURNISHINGS:  We have two heavy round fruitwoods and myrtle lamp tables from Century Furniture's Capuan Collection, both from the 1980’s when they retailed for over $1700 each; two vintage Paul McCobb chairs, seats reupholstered so original tags gone, but previous owner said they were McCobb; two Jetsonesque space age black plastic and chrome barstools and pretty cinnabar-hued Asian chest, nice for entryway and under a mirror 

LAMPS:  Pair of heavy, finely cast antique metal rooster weathervane lamps; antique Wedgwood lamp with shade; numerous decorative lamps including pair of sweet, small lamps with figures; Art Nouveau style reading or small table lamp with curvy-neck and glass lily shade; cheery wood/resin rooster lamp with French provincial look and mid-century small shabby-chic metal floral chandelier in yellow, green and white -- very "I Love Lucy"

RELIGIOUS/DEVOTIONAL OBJECTS:  Century old Polyglot Bible; an extremely rare miniature prayer book, Little Key of Heaven, with ivorene cover and dating to Michael Augustine Corrigan, Archbishop of New York who died in 1900, also mentioned under BOOKS; two giant prayer beads/wall rosaries and several smaller rosaries; vintage home altar set in box; two "tubby" carved monks, about 3"; lovely polychrome Mary/Sacred Heart pin and several pretty crucifixes to wear or set atop nightstands or tables

RUGS:  Several casual rugs including brightly covered Navajo pattern throw and a floral woven in soft greens and pumpkin-y hues; small wool patterned rug, possibly Morrocan

VINTAGE and COUTURE CLOTHING:  Mesh and vintage bags, 1960’S “Cher” dress w/fur trim, fake fur winter coats and vests, 1970’s Sarasota  CB  Club vest -- Remember when CB radios were hot back in the '70's, Bandit?   Also have designer duds by Mr. Z of California and military attire, including a presentation Knights of Columbus sword, noted also under miscellaneous; evening handbags including 1920’s flapper bag, antique Whiting Davis clutches and other designer bags; full length cape, 100% Merino wool, vanilla white
