ART, SCULPTURE AND BRONZES: Lots of it! Over fifty prints and original artworks available this year, including strong graphic scene --along the Danube in Budapest -- by Hungarian artist, Ferenc Bordás (1911 - 1982); many other works by listed and/or gallery artists such Chaim Gross, Frank Hopper, Thornton Utz, P. López, J. Durand, Halloran, Thompson Tunison and J. Harvey; Haitian artists feature with vintage vivid oil by Haitian Joel and work by Jacques Geslin; two 1969 Philip Sutton signed wood block prints; several very nice boat and marine paintings, including large scene of lighthouse in moonlight by Eugene Balardelle who showed in NYC in 1950’s; framed Miro and Picasso posters and bold Badenesque red and yellow theatre posters from 1970’s; Native American prints by Bob Dale and super realistic Native American traditional attire painting signed Luis; Chinese Leopard print by Guy Coheleach; some nice tile art by Haitian artist de Vendegies and by Venezuelan E. FEATURED WORK OF ART: Acquire a bit of history: We have a masterful 1838 portrait from the Philadelphia school, possibly from the circle of Sully. The sitter is Henry Schell who was a councilman in Philadelphia and grandfather to the important naval, battle artist and illustrator, Frederick B. (Boley) Schell (1838 - 1902). Descended through the family and donated by great-great-great-grandson of sitter. Sensitive rendering from artist clearly interested in psychology of subject. In elegant heavy gold frame.

DESIGNER FINDS: Sweet, fine Asian jade carving of flowers and birds from the estate of Virginia Toulmin; big, bold fire engine red Chinese-style mirror, substantial looking but lightweight for easy hanging; many warmth- and interest-adding books and a few class-it-up bronzes; two quality 1980’s cherry and myrtle round lamp tables by Century from their Capuan Collection, retailed for $1795 -- dealers, these would fly out the door in Atlanta; two Jetsonesque black plastic and chrome mid-mod saucer-seat barstool chairs; large decorative art glass chargers; large brass Spanish house warmer; gemstone globe; several decorative boxes, hand painted, wooden and inlaid; a large table full of masculine office/study accents from clocks to bookends and buckles that give a man's space character and interest; and a lovely aged original Franz Iffland bronzed spelter bust of Carmen, perfect for an opera buff client
FURNISHINGS: We have two heavy round fruitwoods and myrtle lamp tables from Century Furniture's Capuan Collection, both from the 1980’s when they retailed for over $1700 each; two vintage Paul McCobb chairs, seats reupholstered so original tags gone, but previous owner said they were McCobb; two Jetsonesque space age black plastic and chrome barstools and pretty cinnabar-hued Asian chest, nice for entryway and under a mirror
LAMPS: Pair of heavy, finely cast antique metal rooster weathervane lamps; antique Wedgwood lamp with shade; numerous decorative lamps including pair of sweet, small lamps with figures; Art Nouveau style reading or small table lamp with curvy-neck and glass lily shade; cheery wood/resin rooster lamp with French provincial look and mid-century small shabby-chic metal floral chandelier in yellow, green and white -- very "I Love Lucy"
