Big Bass Drive: Tarpon Springs Friday, May 22nd, 9am–4pm | Saturday, May 23rd 9am–3pm

Reminder: Parking will be limited, drive slow, park on designated areas, avoid parking on grass, no curbs.

This one belongs to a schoolteacher and devoted grandmother who clearly loved her faith, her family, and collecting. The home sits on Lake Tarpon with a pool out back, and the contents fill every room, thoughtfully gathered over a lifetime and covering a lot of ground.

Foyer & Entry Nook

Don't walk past that nook on your right when you come in, it's worth a slow look. Books of every kind line the shelves: novels, self-help, poetry, religious titles, travel guides covering New York, Hawaii, Boston, Texas, Poland, and more, plus a full World Book Encyclopedia collection. A large bookcase faces you as you enter with much of the same. Sprinkled throughout: some really nice bookends, angel figurines, frames in a range of sizes, seashells, candle stands, and a kneeler for any Catholic household. There are votive candles, the tall devotional style in quantity here, along with a solid selection of Catholic, Christian, and evangelical books and materials. Americana pieces, a toad planter, floral arrangements, baskets, and a few decorative pillars with a Roman column look round out the entry. Men's and women's jackets and clothing are hanging in the foyer closet as well.

Kitchen

A dining table for four, a really nice set is up for sale here. The kitchen is well-stocked: Corningware, non-stick bakeware, casserole dishes, a punch set, barware, wine glasses, drinkware, coffee mugs, flatware, and plenty of everyday pots and pans. A few Disney-themed pieces tucked in for the grandkids, some Mario Batali cookbooks, tea kettles, pitchers, and an unopened bottle of Bailey's in its original case. The refrigerator in the kitchen is also for sale.

Garage

Packed, in the best way. There's a second refrigerator out here, plus a Whirlpool washer and dryer set that's a solid buy. Tools are well-represented, a Snap-on toolbox with contents, Craftsman hand tools, a Milwaukee corded drill, a Milwaukee saw, sledgehammers, drills, saws, hammers, shovels, ladders, and some vintage wooden toolboxes that are worth a look on their own. A Craftsman blower vac, wet-dry vac, and painting supplies round out the working end of things.

On the more interesting side: a pair of antique railroad lanterns, a vintage Philco radio, Fisher speakers, a vintage portable stereo, a vintage bocce ball set, ice skates, miscellaneous golf clubs with a pink ladies' bag, and an old travel chest. There's a power pole trike for kids, canister vacuums, a brand new bird feeder, a wooden chair that looks like something out of a bishop's study, and a wheelchair. A bookcase full of glassware and vases, coolers, Brita filters, lawn chairs, baskets, and a good pile of school and teacher supplies, stencils, pens, paperclips, playing cards, board games, first ai, fill out the rest. A manger set with figurines is also out here.

Living Room & Dining Area

This is a large, open room with a beautiful lake view, and it has a lot going on. The anchor pieces: a leather massage chair in working order, a comfortable gray chair and ottoman, a beautiful wicker furniture set, two chairs, a loveseat, and a rocking chai, paired with a glass and wood coffee table. A large sectional entertainment center holds a multi-disc CD player, speakers, and a television. Albums, cassettes, and a massive VHS and DVD collection: The Godfather, James Bond, John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, and more.

Also in this room: a vintage white sewing machine with table, a selection of costume jewelry (12–15 watches, brooches, pins, necklaces, eyewear), serving trays, large angel figurines, Joseph and Mary statues, portraits of Christ, a ficus tree, a halogen light, and paintings. Games are well-covered, backgammon, chess, Boggle, Pictionary, and a range of kids' games. A Christmas section with trees, ornaments, and lights. A few vintage Mexican sombreros. It's a room you'll want to move through slowly.

Back Patio & Pool Deck

A glass-top metal table with five blue chairs is out here, along with a large planter, a beautiful concrete pelican statue, wall fountains, lawn ornaments both secular and religious, and a solid collection of floral and yard items, vases, concrete pedestals, plastic flowers in quantity. Sports equipment is piled up out back: around ten Louisville Slugger and other baseball bats, catcher's gear including shin guards and a face mask, baseball helmets, swing weights, baseballs, a Wiffle ball set, and a pair of Fuji bicycles. Life jackets, throw cushions, milk crates, an Aztec statue, and a Patriot kayak round things out.

Guest Bedroom #1

French furniture by Continental fills this room, a beautiful chest and two nightstands, along with a milk glass vintage lamp. The teacher in her shows here: vintage school desk for a young child (a find for any homeschool family), globes, classroom supplies, Crayola crayons in volume, chalkboard and chalk, pickup sticks, scissors, and a wall of kids' books, many Christian-themed. Also: a Graco playpen, baby monitoring system, sleeping bags with kids' themes, a travel Etch-a-Sketch, Beanie Babies, small dolls, assorted plush animals. Women's clothing, luggage, shoe racks, and women's shoes are in the closet. Two twin beds are for sale.

And then there are the Members Only jackets, an absolutely remarkable collection of 1980s originals, brand new with tags, in red, burgundy, and blue, multiples of each. A real find for vintage clothing people.

Guest Bedroom #2

An Ethan Allen four-poster bed with matching nightstand anchors this room, layered with linens, quilts, and comforters. Men's shoes, men's shirts in XL and XXL, cedar shoe trees, bow ties, an Olympia five-piece luggage set, a travel chest, an Indian brass pot, wooden colonial-style chairs, women's blouses, dresses, and shoes, candles, planters, and additional religious items, Mary and Christ figurines, crosses.

The standout piece in this room is a Bradley & Hubbard lamp, believed to date to the late 1800s or early 1900s. It's one of the nicest things in the house and is priced accordingly, right for a collector or someone looking to resell. There's also a very attractive lighthouse lamp for anyone who leans toward coastal or nautical décor, and a couple of vintage trophies and art pieces.

Master Bedroom

Faces the lake. Women's clothing throughout, really nice quality here, along with lamps, a plush chair, wooden chairs, storage furniture, exercise equipment (two bikes, a treadmill, and a Gold's Gym sit-up bench), a Vizio television with TV stand, a bookcase with accessories and candles, a hat and coat rack, and a solid selection of religious items including crosses and Catholic pieces. Sheets and comforters here as well.

Hallway & Master Bath

The hallway has towels, linens, artwork, blood pressure monitors, UV sunglasses, pill boxes, and cleaning supplies. A paraffin wax machine, a nail drying lamp, a luxury bath spa attachment (turns any tub into a whirlpool), hair dryers, lint brushes, men's wigs, and a cat-themed toilet brush holder. Unopened Dove and Pantene, brand new toothbrushes, waste baskets.

The master bath closet is its own category. Razors, electric shavers, nail polish, perfumes, heating pads, slippers, hair coloring supplies, nail files, first aid, scarves, men's hats, western boots, ties, coats, colorful women's clothing and shoes, belts, it's packed and worth the time. If you need to fill a linen closet, the comforter and sheet set collection in this hall alone could do it.

This is a non-smoker home.
