Who needs Smith & Wesson, when you have a fierce guard Lab? This is Georgia and don't let that calm demeanor fool you! BTW, the pair of cast iron planters, with boxwoods and ivy, are for sale. Buy them, or Georgia just might take a bite out of crime...
Beautiful great room, with blue plaid sleeper sofa, by Hick0ry Chair (Sovereign Collection), wrought iron coffee table, with beveled glass, vintage French lowboy, with two drawers, larger red upholstered armchair & matching ottoman, by Isenhour Furniture Co. (Hickory, NC) and its smaller cousin chair, in the same fabric, by Lee Industries (Newton, NC).
This is the living room/music room. Pretend the baby grand isn't there, as the family is keeping that jewel. BUT, everything else in the room is available. More descriptions in the next pic...
SO, here's the deal on this room. The green upholstered couch is by Sherrill, the upholstered French bergere chair is unknown (recovered) Italian Florentine coffee table, vintage hand painted 4-panel screen, vintage French marble topped guéridon side table, vintage French commode, vintage exposed wood toile armchair, nice collection of Asian rose medallion plates, vintage wooden sconce, urn, from the Kuang Hsu Dynasty (1875-1908), all atop an antique 10' x 14' Lavar Kerman Persian rug, from House of Persia; original cost was $14,500. Lovely collection of vintage/antique Chinese Rose Medallion china. The larger platter measures 13", the smaller one is 11" long. The square plates measure 7 1/2", the pairs of plates measure 8 1/2" and 7" diameter, respectively.
Yep, here it is folks, the star of the Asian rose medallion constellation, THE urn, from the Kuang Hsu Dynasty - 16 1/2-inches of happiness (1875-1908).
Very handsome pair of French bergere armchairs, with an antique English mahogany drop-front writing desk.
Vintage French sideboard, with metal mesh front and faux green marble top, with an antique wood gilt swagged/pedimented mirror - all the right goo gaw! A very regal pair of Asian porcelain lamps, with bronze base; new shades.
Love, love, love this mirror - it has all the right things, Of course the crystal chandelier in the reflection doesn't hurt; it measures 26" W x 44" T.
Breaking news! We were given the green light today to sell most of the lighting fixtures in the house, as the new owners envision a different look. SO, this European chandelier is now available. It is obviously electrified, but it also has candleholders, for particularly romantic dinners. Actually, this is how the famous rock band, AC/DC, got its name, from versatile European chandeliers... Umm hmm, you know it's true! This piece has eight lights and nine candles, measures 3' T x 21" W.
Much better pic of the sideboard, so you can see the pencil inlay, bronze mounts and painted side columns.
GORGEOUS Althorp by Theodore Alexander console serving table, "Dinner is Served", of flame figured mahogany veneer. The rectangular reeded edge crossbanded top above a breakfront frieze mounted with lion mask drop handles and a central Spencer crest, the bound cluster column tapering legs headed by brass stellar paterae and terminating in brass lion’s paw feet. The original Regency, circa 1820. The Ante Room. W 84" x D 28" x H 37". This item was introduced Oct. 2004, retired Jan. 2016. Althorp has been home to the Spencer family for nearly 500 years. Huge green porcelain Asian vase, pair of wall-hung gold lamps, with shades & finials, vintage Asian porcelain foo dogs, partial set of the Herend "Coronation" china.
Set of 6 French Louis XVI dining room chairs, 4 sides & 2 arms, round Drexel inlaid wood dining table, atop the huge Persian Bahktiari rug. The table is set with four place settings of the Herend "Coronation" china.
Part of the 148-piece set (yep, 148 pieces!) of Herend "Coronation" or "Battyhány" pattern china. It's pretty and as the Herend brochure states, "the pattern captivates with its noble, yet playful distinction". The Coronation pattern was active from 1966 to 1990.
Close-up of the Herend "Coronation" pattern china. The salad plates ands double handles soup bowls are quite rare (read expensive). ;-)
FABBY hand carved Italian marble Blackamoor bust, on 3-part matching marble stand. This thing is solid marble, is beautifully carved and very HEAVY! Just look at that expression. You can tell from his rock hard countenance, you'll soon be singing a duo with Madelyn Khan, "Oh, sweet mystery of life, at last I've found you!" Above his head, a yummy original still life oil painting, by Louise-Jeanne Cottard Fossey (1902 - 1983); another nice investment piece of art - great frame! She measures 24" W x 27" T.
LOVE this yew wood sideboard with antique tea caddy lamp. Nice collection of wall-hung English porcelain plates. Are they hung well? You decide and tell me all about it at the sale!
SO, the yew wood buffet has gotten a make-over, It's still the same fabby piece of furniture, but it now has an equally fabby gilded wood mirror, Asian porcelain lamp, with bronze mounts and birds, silverplated gallery tray with all kinds of sparkly cut glass and the English porcelain plate collection has been more tastefully re-hung. You're welcome.
Not too offensive plaid sofa, by Hickory Chair, with nice wrought iron/beveled glass coffee table and complimentary color hand woven Persian rug. Just snuggle next to your honey bunny on this thing and have sexy kwaffee tawk!
Nice pair of Sherrill upholstered armchairs for a sunny solarium. Buy these and there'll be no need for Zoloft! Great pair of mother-of-pearl inlaid corner chairs, vintage side table and Persian rugs all around!

Handsome pair of French bergere armchairs, pair of original oil paintings, vintage brass fireplace goodies, hand woven Persian rug, and huge pastoral sheep original oil painting on canvas, signed by Dutch artist, H. Assteyn - nice frame!
Nice original oil painting (14" x 18") signed Siege, of gay summer zinnias, even though it's December - great frame!
LOVE these handsome plaid bergere chairs - yes, there'a a pair. These are in the gentleman's library. There was a time in our country when men would read and have meaningful after-dinner conversation, rather than creating a man cave, where they watch non-stop sports - shocking, I know!
Nicely upholstered down damask couch, with homespun pine coffee table - prop your feet up and sit a spell!
OMG! These four hand painted Asian Coromandel scene silk screens are to die for! Purchased from ADAC at an obscene price each, they measure a whopping 7' 8" tall x 42" wide.
