Dr. James Whitaker Estate #2

Due to the current concerns and aspects of the Corona Virus, we will be following the current suggested guidelines as much as possible and will have masks, gloves, as well as hand sanitizers throughout the house, for your use as you may need, .... and you can be sure this home has been thoroughly cleaned prior to the sale. We hope you understand, as we will be forced to keep the number inside, at any one time to acceptable limits, but again will try to allow as many as possible too. We will have numbers as usual for those that come early, at the rear patio door (the official only entrance) by about 7am on the first day, for an organized entry at 9AM opening, so hopefully you will understand and work with us, as this sale is LARGE and worth the extra  time if you have to wait a few minutes. 

This was a originally posted as "The Prado" which was the home where Dr. Whitaker's items were to be sold, however that home is not available. His furniture and collectibles, have been moved from his Mountain home, to storage, are now to be sold in this other Atlanta home, as it's nice to own more than one.  This is one of those exceptional sales we are privileged to provide, as it is a continuation of the sale we held two weeks ago in Warner Robins, where Dr. James Whitaker also had another home. For those that attended that one, you already know the incredible quality of furnishings and collectibles we had and sold there, so you can be assured this home, selling the rest of his vast estate, will be equally fine and exciting. He was the Medical Examiner for Houston County, and enjoyed a life of fine clothes, collectible art, exquisite glass, and anything else he desired. He was the last of a long lineage of ancestors that left him their estates, so much of what he had, and we are selling, covers many generations, and much has been in storage for years, so just now unpacking, and arranging as much as possible in the home.

This home is packed with so many antiques, and a few slightly newer furnishings of most every period of style...PLUS...so much older fine & costume jewelry, sterling silver & gold.... serving pieces, silver coins, (most of these silver items are not pictured as in vault and not able to get pics, but will try to add a couple days before sale)collectible glassware, (much Steuben & other), large selection of wrist and pocket watches, (Patek Phillipe, and other high end, and gold bands), collectible stoneware, porcelains & pottery, linens, quilts, table covers, needlework, vintage lamps, large collection of Jim Beam decanters, SO MUCH original and collectible art,  (Abraham Walkowitz 1917 original for example)...well you get the idea as there will be something for anyone.  In addition this sale is much like the one we had last March in Buford, where the owner was a hoarder, as again we have literally many dozens of quality purses, 50 hats, 100 scarves, 50 pair shoes, and other ladies accessories, plus 100's of ladies clothes, (most everything still has original sales tags attached) and some fine quality men's suits, shirts, shoes, and ties. There is also a wide variety of yard tools...edger's, blower's, chain saw's, plus many kitchen pots and pans, serving pieces, small appliances...and most still new in the original boxes.....crazy, yes, but your good fortune to buy. We are in the process of arranging and inventory each piece as you can see, so bear with us as we continue this task. We have nearly 400 photos of items already, (and can tell you we could have posted over 1000, as anything you see, there are many similar ones) but will be adding more over the next days and week as we do so.
