Terms

We accept cash, credit & debit cards as payment, with a 3% credit card fee - nothing's free, someone has to pay for those sky miles. We're a legitimate business, so we DO charge sales tax.
We have a few boxes available, but if you feel motivated, please bring boxes and packing material - you'll need them!
Always bear in mind that we're an estate sale company, not Nieman's.
Please make an effort to bring your own muscle (gardener/house boy) to load heavy furniture.

This weekend , we'll be ready to throw open the doors on another of our infamous estate sales. Infamous, you ask? Yes, we're the only estate sale company in town with a certified sense of humor, a state-of-the-art check-out system, designed by a GA Tech brainiac, so that most of the items are barcoded. You won't have to stand in line forever, while an invoice is hand written by a fossil, like me!

This house is stuffed with furniture (some good antiques), dining room, kitchen, breakfast room, den, living room, master bedroom and guest bedroom. This couple built this house in the early 70's and it has remained virtually unchanged since. From the moment you step into the front door, you know these people "made it". A local businessman, who did well for himself in the chemical business (no, not drugs!). The house is completely full of everything you need and a few things you don't want. There's also a two-car garage stuffed with estate-sale-only finds.

The owners have  downsized and they want us to hurry up and finish our sale, so they can list the house for sale!

I recently received the signed contract for the sale, so please feel free to check this listing frequently, as we will continually update and add pictures/descriptions as the sale morphs and unfolds.

Do you enjoy estate sales? How about scrunging at yard/garage/thrift stores? Please realize that there is a huge difference between authentic estate sales and the other venues to get your fix. I personally love to dig through any type of sale (hence my Ph.D in shopping) to find a hidden treasure that just "speaks" to me.

Just a word to let you know that estate sales are a real business. Surprising, huh? Please realize that we are a contracted company, whose job is to sell the contents of someone's home. We do not personally own any of the items available at a sale. When tempted to ask "Can you do better on the price?" - sure, we can double it!  ;-)

Seriously, we do a lot of behind the scenes work to prepare a property for a sale. We price, clean, stage, move, hang, repeat, so that your shopping experience can be fun and rewarding. All we ask in return is that you have fun, find some goodies and tell others about our sales.

A beautiful example of a house, built in the early 70's, that has changed very little since. Here, you see part of their collection of beautiful Persian rugs, quality furniture, lamps, dust catchers, etc. The pair of end tables are from a high end furniture retailer in Ohio, the empire sofa is convertible - the back comes off and makes a daybed. These people entertained a lot, have several sets of china and crystal stemware. This is their 1960's vintage Drexel Esperanto dining room set, consisting of a table with three leaves (with original pads) six side chairs, matching china cabinet and buffet. The table is sitting on a Persian Bijar rug. The crystal chandelier is for sale, yes, thanks for asking!Nice gilt wood, beveled glass wall mirror, on the buffet that matches the Drexel Esperanto suite. There's a stone Buddha head, a pair of Rosenthal-Netter foo dogs, Waterford crystal aperitif glasses and a very heavy, solid marble Surya "Kerrigan" lamp, that retails for over $400.00 - yep, just ask the Google. This is the matching buffet, from the Drexel Esperanto suite. I told you they liked to entertain, so here you see their second dining room.
This is where the "B" list sat, along with their weird uncle who lived in the basement. There is no basement in this house, so the uncle was REALLY weird. The dining room table is vintage Henredon, the closeted chair is from the set of Pee-wee's Playhouse - Chairy! The framed fabric in each of the closets is from Norway.Sale PictureTop view of the Henredon dining table.Sale PictureSale PictureBeautiful Victorian 2-drawer chest, with original pulls and burled walnut detail.Sweet, little French gilt wood wall mirror - love tha hand!1970's Slate-topped Coffee table, by Heritage, collection of Surya decorative jars, vintage Russian brass Samovar, vintage onyx ashtray and matching lighter, collection of vintage brass candlesticks. Virginia Artist , Dated 1958Now here's something you won't see everyday. A resin deer head, flanked on the left by a collection of vintage pewter and on the right by a beautifully framed oil portrait of a very homely woman, BUT it's from the Wrigley estate. I told you she was homely, but you thought I was just being ugly; frame's pretty.Welcome to the SIN DEN! Yep, this fornicatorium looks like something straight out of the late Hugh Hefner's mansion. LOVE the velveteen sofa, in pristine condition. I found a receipt of it in a cookie jar - it's from Rich's, 1973 and cost $300.00. The pair of furry alpacas above the couch are made from real Alpaca fur. The cowhide rug was wall mounted, but I yanked it down because it was begging me to do so. It wanted to be dominated by the MCM white marble coffee table, so now it's happy.Brutalist nail wall sculpture, by Jere Seandel Collier. The masks are from Indian Swamis who sleep on beds of nails - it's a theme...Aha! Another brutalist wall sculpture, but this time it's a seasoanlly appropriate fall leaf theme; signed by Cherie.LOVE the Hollywood Regency glamour objet d'art living on the coffee table. No matter what you may think, this is not road kill, but rather a whipstiched cow hide from Brazil. Not the country, but after a night a drunken stupor, I went dumpster-diving at my neighborhood Fogo de Chão, found this and threw it on the floor - voila! Vintage Princess telephone for that late night booty call. The pair of lamps are mercury glass with acrylic bases and the shades are made from Playboy bunny pantyhose. Can you believe this was a thang, in the 70's? It so moved the young couple below, that they had to begin a heavy petting session to relieve the art tension that was so thick.Ooh la la! A young Frenchy hottie, immortalized in oil, by German artist, Fritz Kleiberg (1921-1988) - great frame as well!Don't ask what we found lurking in the lovely chest of drawers, but the wall o' T & A surrounding it may give you a hint.Gilligan's arm, after finally being rescued from the island. The captain had no GPS or sense of direction, so it was actually Gilligan reaching for the ship's wheel who finally steered them safely home. The end. Then there was HER! One look at those baby blue eyes and that Mona Lisa smile will work its magic.
