Description & Details
Atypical of your traditional estate sale, Ms. Andrea Wynn has been collecting history, in particular, Atlanta’s Black history, for decades.
With vivid memories of walking through Summerhill before it was Summerhill, and later building real estate in that same community alongside her husband, Bill, through their real estate and construction company, Ms. Wynn has a résumé like no other.
She is a registered nurse. She created a wedding chapel and childcare centers that still exist today. She spent time with Job Corps, assisted in creating some of the first healthcare facilities of their kind, and is now the curator of her own museum in East Point.
All of that to say: she is fabulous.
This estate sale will require a certain level of tender love and care, as the building where it’s being held is still her place of business. There are items Ms. Wynn has specifically requested not be sold, but many treasures will be available.
Here’s what you’ll find:
Original art. A ton of posters by Black artists. Dolls. Modern and mid-2000s clothing, all sizes. A small selection of jewelry and costume jewelry. Leather goods. Y2K purses and shoes. Black memorabilia, including Jet magazines from the ’70s. Ephemera. Books. And a small selection of kitchenware.
We look forward to seeing you Friday and Saturday!
