Found Objects

Running this estate sale is a labor of love. My connection to Chubby and Kath Engler is long and deep. I helped them with the interior design of this enchanting house when they first renovated it and moved in. I have done interior design for Chub’s medical practice. They bought one of my Airedale puppies for Eben, their son, so that Eben had the opportunity to grow up with an Airedale, as Chub had. Kath was a regular at my estate sales. I was always fascinated by her “found objects”. She was like a magpie, collecting unusual things that caught her eye. She often incorporated them into her art. Kath was especially drawn to Asian furniture and artwork, 

Their son is keeping his mother’s art, but we are selling his parents  personal effects. In order to pay tribute to the arts, 16 artists are displaying their work during the sale. Kath would have loved this celebration of local artists.

We are selling a beautiful collection of Chinese furniture, French style chairs,  arts and crafts style lamps and desks, fabulous Persian carpets,  paper cut art, Lalique glass, cloisonné, , Kath’s Exercise equipment, antique and coffee table books, novels,  terrier collectibles, a huge collection of Kath’s scarves, shoes, purses, jewelry, and designer clothes. There is quality showing in even the smallest items.
