Saturday, July 30: We spent most of last week working at this home. We are still organizing and opening cabinets but we can tell you that there are many things you will love here! Some of the things we have uncovered are the Vietri dinner ware, a Brahmin bag and several Michael Kors handbags, and of course lots of Staffordshire pieces. We each have a favorite! There are lots of linens, children's clothes and other items left over from the homeowner's business. If you are from the Gainesville area, you may have seen her work at Marketplace each year. The Find of the Week however is the gorgeous shabby chic hutch and cabinet! We have some muscle coming by next week to bring the hutch downstairs to reunite with the cabinet and when we do you will be the first to see a photo of it! It's simply a marvelous piece. More updates next week!

Tuesday, August 2: Today we are starting work on the porch and patio. There are some great shabby chic pieces as well as just plain chic! One of our favorites is the vintage door leaning against the house. It has amazing patina and would also work inside. It has a hook and can be used to display artwork or just hang up a jacket or two. Other favorites outside are the white wooden chair and ottoman, the vintage shutters, and the rusty old iron chair! As for inside, that is where the Find of the Day is: the antique marble topped chest. It's a great size and would work as a side table for a chair or sofa or more creatively use it as a vanity in a bathroom. If you like the painted look, it would look great painted because of the detailed trim that lends itelf well when painting furniture. Oh, one last thing. If you like the life like veggies on the table, you should. They are collectible pieces by Mary Kirk Kelly. When you stop by, take a close look. They will fool you into thinking they are the real deal!  

Thursday, August 4: It's the night before the sale and we are READY! Can't wait to see our flock tomorrow. Here are a few details for you: Please park along the street unless you are loading your car with all your wonderful new things. Line up at the front door, first come, first serve. Remember to be respectful of the neighborhood and each other. Be aware that there are many things for you to see in the house and in the backyard. If you want to start with the patio and the backyard, ask us tomorrow where you need to line up. Also our muscle men got the hutch reunited with the buffet tonight, take a look at the picture. It's fabulous! And finally, have FUN. We always do :-) This is going to be a great sale! See you at noon!

Friday, August 5: What a great first day we had! Thank you, Flock! We were so pleased that we had 100 people lined up for our noon opening. Wow. So, you are asking yourselves, what about tomorrow? Well, we sold a lot of wonderful things today, and so many of you were so patient and kind as you waited in line.
