Polly Connor Clary was an independent woman whose family was well connected back when the train stopped in Harlem. Her family owned the funeral home and she had relatives in the bank, jewelry store, local restaurant and was a pillar of the Harlem Baptist Church. She was a red head who smoked, drank, and told everyone what was on her mind.
We are proud to offer her lifetime collections for sale this weekend. I am not exaggerating when I say that we have a million small items to choose from as well as lots of vintage furniture. If you collect, sell or just appreciate the past, you will have a ball at this sale. You will find hundreds of figurines - porcelain dogs including Royal Doulton and Beswick, figures from Germany, USA and occupied Japan, American Brilliant Cut crystal, depression glass, vintage kitchen ware, hundreds of pieces of costume jewelry, vintage hats and purses, linens, Silverplate and China including Noritake, Limoges, Wedgwood, an 1860 melodeon parlor organ, books, vintage dog carriers, dresser jars, jewelry boxes. You will seldom see this many items in one setting. There is something for every buyer, so come to Harlem this weekend and help us celebrate the life of an independent woman!
