We are honored to be able to handle this wonderful sale, and you will slowly be carried back in time as you view the history before you, turn of the century plantation home, two early 1900 barns spread over 12 acres, packed full of everything you can imagine, plus 3 other out buildings, equally stuffed full, and then of course the old farm tractor and implements, and a more modern day GEM e4 four seater electric "runabout,"...PLUS a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible.
This is the original home of Doctor Hosch, for whom the town of Hosch Town was started and eventually became known as Hoschton, Georgia today. Much of the contents of the house itself have been moved out to the barns, and tents erected for this sale, as the home has been staged for pending sale.
We have just started searching, unpacking, and trying to get an inventory on the 100's of items, but as you will see in the early photos, there is SO MUCH, and undoubtedly something for everyone. Antique furnishings of every description...chairs, cabinets, tables, curios, light fixtures, desks, many old mantles, and most anything else you can wish for. THEN...add to the dozens of old crocks & jugs, many old jars, dozens of old milk & creamery bottles, cast iron, so many old wooden boxes, crates, & shipping containers, large collection of old electrical bulbs, old radio tubes, old telephones, Atwater-Kent radio, much old medical devices and equipment, plus old medical books, boxes & boxes of old historical papers, farm and auto manuals, vintage Georgia Tech, Tech High School, and others, old 1950's and 60's baseball & football cards and other sports memorabilia, boxes of old cast hardware, knobs, etc., dozen old plows, several old shop vise, large 150# anvil, plus other farm equipment. Of course as with any large farm, piles and piles of wire, 1000's of pounds of scrap steel & iron, LARGE 4" diameter fallen old oak & cherry trees, piles of old heavy wooden beams, joists, & other heavy wood lumber, old pottery, many old hand, garden, and shop tools, and plenty of old glassware, kitchenware, and SO MUCH MORE. ALL of this and we have only searched one barn, and haven't even got to the house with boxes and crates of old glass, porcelains, crystal, serving pieces, and SO MUCH MORE TOO.....Keep an eye on this as we add pictures and details over the next couple weeks.
