Description & Details

We are honored to be chosen to handle this incredible sale, and when you see the wide variety of very rare items, you will understand.

This sale is unusual in several ways, as it will be a one day Auction, with a preview the day before.

On Friday, July 18th, we will open from 1pm  until 7pm for a formal preview of all items, giving you a chance to assure yourself to the condition of all items, and inspect each item of interest, so you will be comfortable with any purchases the following day, and be able to ask any questions you may have. We will have refreshments, and light snacks during this time as you can look things over at your leisure.

This will not be possible on Saturday of the Auction as the number of people will probably not allow the space, or time for individual item inspection. We will open at 9am on Saturday for full bidder registration and last minute observations, before starting the Auction promptly at 11am.

All items will be offered with no minimums or reserves, and all sales will be cash, or check with proper identification. There will be a 10% Buyers premium added for all purchases to cover the cost of the sale for the Museum.

This sale is to offer the entire collection of a well known Georgia philanthropist, who acquired these rare and unusual items during his years in the U.S. Navy and his nearly 30 years as a commercial airline pilot. The family, upon his passing, has gifted the entire collection to a large area Museum, with the understanding of selling it, and using the funds received to purchase collections and items more inline with the current needs of the Museum.

The family asks to remain anonymous, as does the Museum, but we will share that information with all of the successful buyers, along with all documentation and other pertinent paperwork, at the close of the sale.

All items are vintage, and quite rare, and the scope is varied. We have certified appraisals for all items
