Their passion for collecting is reflected in the textiles from the Middle and Far East, Asian accessories and mid-century (c.1950) Ficks-Reed faux bamboo lounge furniture which evokes the glamour of the Hollywood heyday. Following are some of the highlights of the collection:

- Woodmaking and woodcarving figures plus a collection of the intricately designed tools used for this craft.
- Amish and native North Georgia and North Carolina hickory handmade furniture including dining chairs, rocking chairs and tables
- Eclectic collection of linens ranging from crewel ebroidered bedspreads to fine crocheted lace tablecloths
- Among the American antique furniture in the collection are a 3/4 (originally a rope bed) bed, c. 1870, a wall hung curio case, a rocking chair that converts to a day bed, c.1870 and an Eastlake bookcase, also c.1870
- At least two of the sisters enjoyed sewing as a creative outlet, evidenced by the carefully selected patterns and sewing machine left behind

- A formal mantle clock. c.1890, with a black marble base topped by a brass dore' goddess, an Eastlake period yellow oak clock and a hand carved Cuckoo clock are part of the unusual collection of memorabilia from the family's travels
