Sale PictureCollins, Colbert (American 1924-2013), Two Figures, Bronze Sculpture
A fine original contemporary modern sculpture, entitled "Double Dancers", in bronze by Colbert Collins (1924-2013 ). Created in the later half of the 20th century depicting a pair of dancers in full motion carefully balanced on a solid square base. Fully signed by the artist on the base. This example shows smooth surfaces and cast construction.

Colbert Collins was born in Portsmouth, OH and raised in Harlan, KY before joining the army during WWII. After settling in New York he founded an Artists Consortium of local painters and sculptors and began exhibiting his work at the Arnot Art Gallery in Elmira New York, before moving to West Palm Beach. He was once an Artist in Residence at the Chateau du Bonmont, Cheserex, Switzerland. His works can be found in many important private and public collections.

Created in later half of the 20th century. Sculpture features textured surfaces and welded construction. Fully signed by artist on the base.
