Our collector began building kits in middle school, a quiet weekend habit that grew into a lifelong pursuit of aviation history. He went on to become an accomplished mechanical engineer and a licensed pilot, and he carried an engineer's eye into every kit he acquired. He did not simply own these model kits; he studied them, speaking to the strengths and weaknesses of every airframe, the evolution of its design, and the reasons behind each innovation across Allied and Axis aircraft of World War II.

His focus was warbirds and vintage aircraft, a passion deepened through his membership in the Commemorative Air Force and his involvement with the local chapter of the International Plastic Modellers’ Society (IPMS). For decades, he attended air shows and swap meets whenever he could, patiently curating every shelf of what became one of the largest private scale aviation collections in the Southeast.

At 66, his cancer journey ended far too soon. His family's wish is simple: that these kits reach the builders who will appreciate them the way he did. Part 1 launches that journey with a carefully selected opening slice of the aviation inventory, featuring brands such as Airfix, Hasegawa, Eduard, Academy, Monogram, Tamiya, Bandai, Revell, Italeri, AFV Club, and Kinetic. Highlights include Kinetic Hawkeyes, AFV Club aircraft, Bandai infantry sets, Dornier kits from Revell, Hasegawa Hornets, Italeri lots, and Lockheed subjects. Most of the collection is pristine and unopened.
