Condition reports and descriptions are provided as a courtesy and represent our observations and opinions only. They are not intended to identify every scratch, stain, repair, restoration, replacement, flaw, or sign of age and use.
Bidders should carefully review all photographs, descriptions, measurements, and condition information before bidding. Photographs are considered part of the lot description.
3. Authenticity and Attribution
Artist, designer, manufacturer, period, origin, and attribution information is based upon available markings, labels, documentation, provenance, consignor information, and research. All bids are binding. The highest accepted bidder becomes the purchaser at the close of the lot, subject to any applicable reserve. Bates Estates reserves the right to withdraw a lot, reject a bid where permitted, or correct material catalog errors prior to the sale.

Applicable sales tax will be collected unless the buyer has a valid resale or tax-exemption certificate properly submitted and accepted before invoicing.
