responsible for determining age, authenticity, value, and/or other determining factors.

All items in this auction will be sold “AS IS” and there is no warranty regarding any respect of such items. In no event will Lebonick’s Auction Service be held responsible for having made or implied any warranty or fitness of any such item for a particular purpose. On line bidders will be the sole judge of value and as to authenticity as to whether the item being sold is PREHISTORIC, HISTORIC, or CONTEMPORARY Indian Artifacts. All sales are final.
Bidding is contractual and bidders are hereby notified that payment is required on the final hammered price. Floor bidders are required to pay before leaving the auction unless an agreement is made between the buyer and the auctioneer to defer payment to an agreeable date.
On line bidders should wait to see where the bidding starts before establishing their bid. On line bidders are required to pay within 48 HOURS AFTER THE INVOICE IS SENT OUT to avoid disputes that will be recorded with live on line service being used for this auction.
Buyers call 618-444-6889 when paying by these acceptable credit cards; American Express, Master Card, and Visa to provide the necessary information for billing. Check to make sure your shipping address is correct on the invoice and your credit card address corresponds with that address. We do not keep credit card information on file; therefore repeat buyers need to call each time they make an internet purchase from our auction.
There is a 20% buyer’s premium for on line bidders. Actual shipping and insurance are added to the invoice. A charge may be added if there is a special box if required for shipping.
Be aware that invoices not paid within 48 hours after the invoice is received could lead to disabling of bidders account and making bidding unavailable through on line services. Unpaid invoice could result in being sent to a collection agency which affects your overall credit score.
Regarding COA’s, it is our observation that documents accompanying an artifact are exactly what the author states, just an opinion and should be regarded as such.
SPECIAL AUCTIONEERS NOTE ABOUT ERNIE WINCHELL
Ernie Winchell interest in artifacts began early in his life when his grandfather showed him his personal collection. After hours spent talking about arrowheads and other Indian artifacts, and their historical significance, Ernie's passion for collecting grew. Ernie's fascination with artifacts and their discovery lead to many hours coursing through plowed fields, and trudging through muddied creek banks after a heavy rain. Merlyn, Ernie’s brother, suggest Ernie's love for artifacts comes naturally as their ancestry comes from Indian Heritage.
Ernie realized he could turn his passion into more when he met Gene Johns, a prominent artifact collector and dealer. John's began teaching Ernie about artifacts as well as bringing him to dealers shows, where Ernie quickly absorbed much knowledge from his new mentor.
Eventually, Ernie began attending shows alone and later with his wife, Kaye. He learned the art of trade, and began buying and selling hundreds of artifacts over the course of many years. Ernie made many friend in the business and always looked forward to the next show, but his favorites were in Springdale, AR, Springfield, MO, and Collinsville, Il, not surprisingly where many of the featured relics were obtained.
In 1993, Ernie open Winchell's Gun Supplies in Pleasant Hill, Illinois where he proudly displayed the Relics he owned as well as the antiques and collectibles. While it was difficult to say goodbye to a man they loved so dearly, Kaye, Ernie's loving wife, and his family, are certain Ernie would want another collector to enjoy the relics he love so much. Ernie was a man who enjoyed learning, loved reading all the books he bought, and occasionally looked forward to a relaxing vacation with his wife Kaye, in the Lake of Ozarks after a wonderful day at the Artifact show. He will be missed, but thanks to his giving family, each individual presents at this estate auction will have the opportunity to own a piece of this nation's history as well as Ernie's
