EVERYTHING ELSE? WELL, LET'S MAKE A DEAL!
This 19th century home in the awesome Northcenter neighborhood has been fully rehabbed, and this homeowner's pride shows in everything she collected and the furnishings she chose.
Lots to look at, and difficult to narrow down to just one type of thing, so we won't even try -- this is a very clean treasure hunt, as eclectic as you are, and priced to sell out in our two-day sale!
There are furnishings for every room, including the awesome 1960s Fort Smith living room set -- solid wood, carved motifs, and immaculate upholstery. Sofa, rocker, side chair, coffee table, ottoman. There is also an antique large round dining table, 6 newer solid wood 2-tone dining chairs, lots of antique oak pressed back chairs, a green metal glass-top table with 4 chairs, antique hall tree, a side-by-side, mission-style bed, 2 mission-style futons, a few other rockers, and plenty of accessory pieces that will fill that spot that needs a certain something.
There is very nice wall decor as well, including a beautiful Hudson River Inlay mirror featuring sunflowers. Their work is extraordinary, and this piece is retired from their current line and an absolute beauty.
She collected artisan pottery so there are several nice pieces of that, and the kitchen is loaded with dishes, glassware, cook ware, bakeware, utensils, gadgets, pots and pans and more.
One of the most interesting item in this sale is a 1929 signature quilt that she found in a thrift store and ultimately did an immense amount of research on each of the ladies who made a square and signed it, so it is not only a rare historical quilt, but it also comes with provenance through all of her genealogy research on it. I don't know if she figured all of them out, but she actually traveled to Oklahoma, where the quilt was made, and gave several presentations on it there. An awesome find.
She sewed: there are 2 sewing machines, lots of fabric (smaller scale patterns and pieces -- for making quilt blocks mostly), a folding sewing and crafting table, sewing supplies, an antique treadle sewing machine, and more.
The master bedroom has a closet that's an entire wall long, and it's stuffed with tops, bottoms, dresses ... plus we have tables loaded with clothing, sweaters, accessories, and more. A range of sizes from medium to plus size. Shoes in the 7 1/2 to 8 range. AND, she served in the Army -- we have lots of camo, khaki, military issue clothes and gear.
Showcase has a nice assortment of smalls as eclectic as the rest of the sale, plus some jewelry -- some pieces of 18k and 14k gold with jade and semi-precious stones. There is also sterling, millefiori, a little bit of vintage, and some artisan pieces.
She loved to garden, so the garage is filled with outdoor things -- furniture, gardening tools, yard art, planters, hooks, and more.
What else? A little of this, a little of that -- linens, Christmas decor, stools for a kitchen bar in two styles, books, a concertina and antique zither, a few hundred stereoview cards (Keystone) and a viewer .... you're bound to find things you like all through this lovely home.
Open 10 - 3 both days. Our numbers at 9:30 on Friday. If an early arriver starts a list, we'll use that to queue up for our numbers, but you must be there when we pass out numbers, and also when we call your number or you'll lose your place in line.
Cash and credit cards (over $20) cheerfully accepted. No checks.
And, as always, a Kiss on your way out the door.
Thank you for using EstateSales.NET. You're the best!
