This single-family home built in 1920 was home to a retired Lutheran minister who was a very interesting man. He had many interests including puppetry, music and TV. He had a lifetime love of puppetry and was one of the creators of The Adventures of Uncle Mistletoe, a local children's program which originated in 1949 on WGN-TV. Items from the original program not donated to the Chicago Broadcast Museum will be offered for sale. From attic to basement, the home is loaded with antique and vintage goodies from serious to fun. There is antique furniture which was passed down from the owner's grandparents, a wonderful collection of Bohemian and American Brilliant cut crystal and porcelain pieces. Vintage fun abounds from the household products in original packaging to collectible toys to the 1950s barware and so much more. There is also tons of vintage costume jewelry, all from the estate. This family saved everything! The attic has been literally untouched for many decades and we have found so many amazing items. We feel this sale has the best antique and vintage items we have ever offered. The owners would love for all these great items to go to good homes so don't miss this sale.
