A STYLISH GENTLEMAN IN ROGERS PARK

This gentleman worked at the Merchandise Mart, was friend to many designers and artists, loved the arts and theater and classic movies, and collected modern art, Art Deco, Art Nouveau and MCM, loved to entertain (his cabaret parties are the stuff of legends), travel, cook, and read.

For you enjoyment, Miss Sophia has modern art by Joan Miro, Henry Moore, Salvador Dali, Carme Albaiges, Hundertwasser, and more. Art Deco and Art Nouveau furniture and decorative arts, including works by Galle, Zsolnay, and Kelsey Pilgrim. Lots of Danish MCM teak. Amazing array of barware (as Miss Sophia said, he was an entertainer) with a fabulous Art Deco bar cart to display it on. DIRECTIONS AND PARKING: This sale is on Farwell in West Rogers Park, near Western Ave. There is free street parking. To enter the sale, follow the signs around the back of the building. You will be going up the back stairs. It’s two flights up.
