A WONDERFUL, ECLECTIC SALE IN CHICAGO/SAUGANASH!

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the huge crowds we had yesterday, we will be CLOSING at 2:00 p.m. today to allow everyone to have time to shop and checkout before we have to go home. NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED AFTER 2:00 p.m.!!!

UPDATE 1/27: We also found a lighter collection, some pens including Cross set, WWII collector knives....also the Swarovski chandelier and draperies are for sale!! Few more pics added today....hope to see you all Saturday and Sunday!

This fabulous sale will offer a great variety of high quality items and yes, we will have "something for everyone."

Some Highlights:

FURNITURE: Mahogany dining table/chairs in the Duncan Phyfe style, nice curio cabinet, sofa, several bookcases and cabinets including some barrister bookcases, nice coffee table w/baskets, glass/iron cart, green wicker/glass end tables, white office furniture, AND a beautiful mid-century dresser by KENT COFFEY!! (Note this dresser is actually two pieces and we will sell separately)

BOOKS: We have hundreds of books of all types, many history, railroad, Americana, novels and more.

CDs: HUNDREDS of wonderful CDs, mostly classical but we also found jazz, broadway, big band.....all are the best performers/artists and musical selection. If you love music, you will find something here.

CRYSTAL/CHINA: Lovely Noritake "Colony" china, (we round lots of extra place settings), and also a beautiful blue floral Haviland Bavarian china set....LOTS of crystal stemware, all sizes and types, many vintage etched pieces, Waterford crystal decanters and other pieces, Scandinavian crystal vases. We have a huge collection of lovely, creamy Lenox porcelain items, some Capodimonte and other floral porcelain pieces....still unpacking!

COLLECTIBLES: Wow! An amazing array of so many types of collectibles....this couple traveled the world and picked up many wonderful treasures from their world travels.......train collectibles (including an amazing train lantern converted into a table lamp), Jim Beam train "bottles" with tracks, G scale train, Mamod steam engine, vintage Underwood typewriter, cup/saucer set of original railroad china, many animal figurines, a fantastic collection of vintage model automobiles (with boxes), nice Asian pieces including authentic ivory, including two amazing ivory Buddhas, silverplate items, gold plated spoons from Nieman Marcus, pottery liqueur set from Alsace, wooden liqueur set, some small European dolls, a beautiful collection of Ellis Island dolls.....there are more collectibles and we are still unpacking.

CHRISTMAS: You MUST see this Christmas display! This is NOT your ordinary Christmas collection.....keep for yourself or give as gifts......it consists of a stunning array of boxed ornaments of the finest makers....Waterford, Baccarat, Lenox (lots!), Gorham, Lunt, Radko, Lladro, Wedgewood, Royal Albert, Metropolitan Museum, White House collection, etc. We have never seen this quality and quantity in one home EVER! Nice wooden ornaments and many others, two gorgeous Nativity sets, one a wooden set that is one of the most beautiful sets ever, and also a lovely Clothtique set by Dept 56, some Spode Christmas decor....all will be offered at a fraction of what the original cost was.

CLOTHING: Women's designer clothing (Sz 2-4/small), some nightwear, shoes (sz 6), scarves, good quality purses (Coach), hats, outerwear. Men's suits (about 60) high quality brands, and about 200 men's shirts, many new in packages with names such as Geoffrey Beene, etc. (Guys - we are selling these dress shirts at an amazing price of $5 each!!!!) Outerwear includes leather jackets, Dobbs hats, cashmere coats and scarves, leather gloves. We will have more details on clothing as the week progresses. Some of the names we have seen are Marshall Field, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nieman Marcus, Ferragamo, Talbot's, Pierre Cardin, MaxMara, etc.

MISCELLANEOUS: We have an older Mac computer, an exercise bicycle, lamps, linens, tableware, glassware, kitchenware (complete cannister/spice/cruet set from Czechoslovakia), luggage, and a gorgeous Pearl grandfather clock! There are other clocks also and will be pictured later this week.
