This is a sale for anyone who loves furniture with real pedigree. Standout pieces are primarily Milling Road for Baker Furniture, Kindel, and Thayer Coggin — three respected names in American furniture making. The collection spans generations and styles, from French Country to Mid-Century to Classic Traditional.
Highlights include a monumental Milling Road armoire in a hand-painted sage and cream finish, with wire-mesh door fronts backed in floral chintz; a set of 8 elegant Kindel dining chairs with sculptural pierced backs, which bring understated formality to the table; and, for the game room, den or study, a set of Mid-Century barrel chairs upholstered in deep saddle-brown leather with a subtle camo-toned finish. There are also stunning Herend serving pieces in the Chinese Bouquet and Rothschild Bird patterns — beautiful examples of the kind of timeless pieces that make this estate sale so special.
