This sale will be worth the drive! We have lots of unique items and some stunning solid oak furniture. The couple who lived in the home were very much into creating their own fun. She loved making her own candles and jewelry. We have put kits together for you to purchase that include everything from molds to gems and jewels. The professional and the home-made jewelry is exquisite! She also loved to collect music boxes from around the world. Not just your average music box either but some very beautifully clever and fun ones. He, on the other hand, was into all things do-it-yourself. So we have lots of tools for you, from machinery to hand tools. He also enjoyed hunting and camping. He even made his own bullets. So, again, we have put together kits for you that include bullet molds, Rifle powder, lead bricks, cleaning tools and yes he even has an amazing collection of WWII militaria. Also this couple was local. They grew up in the area and spent their whole lives in the surrounding Joliet area. They took great pride in where they were from and that is evident by the hundreds of local documents, books and even a 1950s Joliet High School blazer. So with love and passion for their possessions they have taken care of everything in the house. The stunning solid oak furniture has been so well looked after its like brand new. A beautiful bedroom set, sideways sliding curio cabinet, side tables, dining room tables and chairs, all in fantastic condition. Later in life this couple needed some help, like we all will someday. So we have lots of help to pass on. An 18 foot wheelchair/handicap ramp, a handicare stairlift, transport chairs, breathing equipment and lots of bandages and gauze. There is also some nostalgia in this home, like a mid century Record console cabinet and dozens of LPs, an Atari game set with lots of games, vintage Kodak equipment, new and vintage Christmas decorations and tons of travel books.
