SATURDAY PRICING:
All items originally $100 or less will be half off.
Over $100 -- starts at 25% off (excludes antique bears, automatron, some Bronze sculptures)
Some items pictured will have sold on Friday.
This estate consists of contents that have been stored in 3 different locations here in the Chicago area, and we've brought it all together in their main residence in Lincolnwood.
It's a fascinating combination of items that have been saved since the 50s, 60s, 70s .... plus some very serious art collecting that began in the 80s through the 90s, plus a nearly overwhelming collection of rare manufactured teddy bears along with a massive assortment of one-of-a-kind artisan bears.
We have been working to assemble together the absolute best from the 3 residences to bring you what is probably the most diverse and epic sale we've ever offered in our 20+ years. I'm pretty sure it will be impossible for you to walk out empty-handed, and in fact, it might be impossible for you to fit everything into a single vehicle!
For now, enjoy the pictures provided, and let me do a little name-dropping to whet your appetite:
Artwork:
Victor Salmones bronze sculptures: we have 20+ for sale, including 3 lifesize pieces. I don't have titles for all of them, but the ones I do know are: Woman in the Wind, Luna Moon Goddess, Punta Vista (Point of View), Magic (tabletop version), High Spirits, Flying Boy, Narcissus in 2 tabletop sizes, Annabelle Swimming, The Cloud (La Nube), Love Illumines, Secret Self, and Nosotros.
Pedro Friedeberg dimensional pieces and signed limited edition silkscreens, including a miniature hand chair, miniature butterfly chair, hands-and-feet clock. SOLD OUT.
Pierre Duteurtre: 5 paintings
Charles Frace signed animal lithos: several subjects
Curt Frankenstein signed lithograph: "The Abacus minus One". SOLD
Feliciano Bejar Magiscope SOLD

Teddy Bears:
2 very early antique Steiff bears.
A fascinating cat animatron from the late 19th century. She is holding a baby and rocks it when it cries.
Steiff bears, boxed and unboxed.
Hundreds of artisan bears -- these folks were avid collectors who attended bear shows, met many of the artists, had some pieces custom made for them ..... most of these teddies are OOAK, but even those produced in editions were in very small ones because the bears are handmade. 3 Mary Holstad originals.
Additionally, because they couldn't resist teddy bears of any type, there are dozens of manufactured (toy) teddy bears and other plush pieces.

No pieces will be sold in advance of sale, and on-site customers will be given the first opportunity to purchase. E-mail me for details.
