This very vintage Lombard sale is loaded with treasure, and includes so many different categories, you don't dare miss it!

Starting in the front room, we have a tables full of smalls. We have a really awesome assortment of beer taps (pull handles), a bunch of empty but sealed vintage Strong brand “White Bear” beer cans, PLUS 8 six packs of vintage Coors beer cans, when they were using the press-tab concept. These cans are all full, and are still in their 6-pack wrappers. Fun finds. Along with the pull handles (which include porcelain, wood, metal, and lucite, representing many mostly domestic Brands), there is also a large 3-line bar tap, a very heavy piece made of brass, in the shape of a beer barrel. Wow.

Another really interesting piece, found buried deeply into storage, is a wood clock made by M. Gottlieb. Still trying to learn more about it, but it appears to be a World War 2 era item, and includes a decal of the 48-star flag. It's definitely a project piece, it'll need some work, but when restored it will be both awesome and a great rare find.

We have lots of record albums in the sale, lots of 80s rock and roll, a few Beatles albums that were released in Stereo, an awesome Little Johnny Strikeout record featuring Joe DiMaggio, and some cute children's albums as well.

There is a wonderful and whimsical children's tea set collection. All sorts of designs, some sets are still in the box, plenty of different themes, and if you're thinking about Christmas, these make marvelous gifts!

Also, we have the Marshall Field's Department! Several Marshall Field's tins, a small bank , and lots of gift boxes and shopping bags.

We do have some books in the sale, including a lot of Elvis-related books, other nonfiction topics, a full set of the Mary Margaret McBride cooking encyclopedia, and a truly great find is the complete 3-volume set Spink Sport Stories by Al Spink, noted sportswriter back in the day. Not easy to find all three volumes together.

We have toys! All boys in this family, so we have some of the more rambunctious games, along with an assortment of Hot Wheels, Matchbox, some track sets for those types of cars, board games, Coleco TV football, a Mattel Wizzer trick track, King Arthur's Castle large fantasy play set, a few steel trucks including a large fire truck, and every parent's nightmare, the Targetland Rifle Range!  Board games include Planet of the Apes and Creature Features, and the Visible Woman (with miracle of life option!)

We also found two Major Matt Mason figures plus the Uni-tread, space sled, and star seeker, all with play wear, but you know how coveted these are.

 There is also a Pachinko game complete with the steel ball bearings that go in it. It could use some cleaning up and restoration, but those are always colorful machines to collect.

We also have the Elvis Department. Someone here was a huge Elvis fan, these collectibles are primarily newer in nature, however we also do have quite an impressive collection of newspapers that covered his passing, and that covered some of the anniversaries of his death.

We have plenty of dinnerware, including the Franciscan Duet Rose pattern and also a very comprehensive collection of Pfaltzgraff Folk art Finnerware, that includes many serving pieces, the matching glassware, and just in time for this season, the turkey platter.

There are two trumpets in this estate. One is a restoration project, but the other is a Blessing Scholastic trumpet in what appears to be a very good condition. An excellent student trumpet.

There's a lot of very nice vintage furniture in his home, including a Duncan Phyfe drum table, a beautiful vintage double glass door china or curio cabinet, some really nice old white wicker that has weathered beautifully through the years, a writing table, a small kitchenette set with drop leaves, some interesting accessory pieces, and also a very nice deep blue upholstered reading chair with matching ottoman. There are also some chests of drawers, and an assortment of nice pieces that you could restore or repurpose.

We do have clothing, for both ladies and gentlemen. There is some military issue apparel. There is also good pickings through handbags, both vintage and newer, hankies, aprons, vintage linens , and more.

The kitchen is a mix of vintage finds such as mixing bowls, glassware, tabletop, as well as very serviceable kitchen items such as quality pots and pans. We have a KitchenAid stand mixer, lots of gadgets and utensils, drinkware, etc.

Choose from an assortment of old salt glazed crockery, including a couple of large Red Wing pieces.

If you are looking for Perlier beauty products, this is the place to be! We have a huge inventory of their products, all still factory sealed. Creams, perfumes, you name it, we seem to have it! Speaking of perfumes, we do have a few vintage fragrances in the Showcase, including a vintage Mary Chess Souvenir D'un Soir figural. A great find!

We also have some nice vintage quilts, a few of them are cutters, but others are very nicely preserved and ready for display.

The basement is simply a goldmine of wacky, weird, fun, vintage finds. Everything from smalls, to some Christmas, to a treadle sewing machine, a couple of cool vintage cabinets, collectible tins, a little of this, a lot of that. A great place to scrounge around and find buried treasure.

Vintage jewelry includes nice necklace/earring sets, some brooches including an Eisenberg stunner, and some cool plastic pieces. Pix may still follow.

The garage had to be demolished while we were setting up the sale, but we did rescue 3 awesome vintage bikes: a Firestone GTO Flame, a Schwinn *maybe* Stingray, and a Columbia Playbike. All have a great foundation for restoration.

We'll be open from 10 – 3, and our numbers will be passed out at 9:30. Early arrivers can start a list, but it must be kept with someone, not posted and left on the property. Once we hand out numbers, the list is void.

We accept cash, and credit cards for purchases of $20 or more.There is no fee to use your card at our sales.
