In business since the 1940s, local landmark "The Sunglass Stand" on Rand Rd closed for the first time in 2011 due to the owner and matriarch of the family's passing. The family has decided to liquidate the business and sell the contents of the home which is also on the property so the owner's granddaughter can move in. The home features vintage furniture and home decor with some newer pieces sprinkled in. The washer/dryer and lots of utilitarian household items are for sale too.
Also part of the sale will be the heated office and large 2-car garage where the sunglass stand business was conducted. The garage is loaded with interesting vintage and antique items. The property contains several apartments and the owner collected lots of household items for her tenants over the years. She was in the awning business and there are a bunch of rolls of vintage canvas and two antique industrial sewing machines. Because of the cold weather, the remaining inventory of hundreds of pairs of sunglasses and some of the sunglass displays have been moved to the home.
