We have been conducting estate sales for 18+ years and have never had a sale with this degree of high-end, beautiful, museum-quality items for sale – and we often conduct some mighty fine sales. This home is in a class by itself, and we hope you can attend, if for no other reason than to ooh and aah over the beautiful furniture, décor, and other accouterments of this home on the river. The view and setting are none too shabby either!

Please be advised that we will need you to remove your shoes and take them with you - so please bring socks to wear or your own booties. This home is so incredibly clean with not a nick anywhere - and we’d like it to stay that way. We will have you enter the home on the side door to the garage and you can wait in the garage, which is air-conditioned until your name is called. Bring a folding chair if you wish and leave it in the garage while you shop - all umbrellas should be left in this garage also - and by the way, you can eat off the floor of the garage, it is that clean!

Mottahedeh Tobacco Leaf Pattern - four 4-pc. Place Settings left, an amazing “Epergne” in the same pattern, which is a replica of the pattern that was used for the China Trade in the latter half of the 18th Century with authorization by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It almost takes your breath away. Never used.

St Charles home on the Fox River - What a beautiful home and setting! You are in for a treat!

Ok this is an Epergne by Mottahedeh, VA1824. This is a reproduction of the Tobacco Leaf Pattern, commonly found on the China Trade Porcelain in the second half of the 18th Century. Metropolitan Museum of Art. 17" high.

$Here's a close up of this adorable piece. An Epergne, btw, is a piece that can hold flowers or fruit as sort of a centerpiece. Our homeowner paid $3,000+ for this beauty; yours for a fraction if you are the lucky buyer! See additional photos$

Mottahedeh - It's taking me a while to learn the pronunciation! Beautiful set of this Tobacco Leaf pattern, clearly one of the finest ever made.

This pattern of China is "Olde Avesbury" (Ely Chelsea Shape) by Royal Crown Derby English Bone China, and I believe we have nearly every piece of this gorgeous set, which would be absolutely perfect gracing your Thanksgiving Table. Keep scrolling and you will see more..

Again, additional pieces, and there is more where this came from! It looks even better in person.

Top shelf is Waterford Crystal and here is additional plates and cups & saucers for a total service of 8 place settings and serving pieces. I'll update this if that is not correct.

This is a porcelain figurine of a German Shepherd by Meissen, from the sought after Pfeiffer Period, hand-painted underglaze in black and brown, with the famous blue cross mark - a collector piece c. 1924-1934, Art Nouveau period, from Germany. (from an on-line description)

Raynaud "L'Alle du Roy" - Elegant Limoges porcelain, partly gold-plated, suitable for the dishwasher, but not for the microwave.

I love this adorable bird pattern, with darling handles, birds in the center, and cute little insects painted on both the front and back. Beautiful Herend quality and style - a rare combination of form & function.

Each cup and saucer as well as any other pieces feature different birds on every plate, piece.

Look at these charming cups and saucers and dessert plates, by Herend of Hungary.

I believe there are four of these amazing step stools in the home, perfect for us shorties. Look at the craftsmanship!

This bouquet was made by Diane James Home Couture, purchased for $500 ea. - there are about five of these arrangements in the home.

I believe this is a John Richards mirror - it's pretty big!

Demi Lune table by Henkel Harris - fabulous wood.

The pink creamer and sugar are very rare, as very few were made.

These glasses have a beautiful *feel* to them - just the right weight, easy to grip, and they shine.

Books - and there are hundreds and hundreds of them, mostly hardcover, all mint condition, and many first editions, nearly all with their dust jackets, and while I've read a number of these books, I want to read the rest of them because the titles are so fab.

Oh gosh, we have two of these spectacular bowls, from L'Objet, and they look awesome displayed under a spotlight as you can see by this photo. We also have the original boxes.

This porcelain head depicts Siddhartha Gautama, better known as the Buddha, the great spiritual master who founded the philosophical doctrine followed by millions of people around the world. Believe it or not, it is made by Lladro in Spain. It stands about 10-3/4" high and is made of stoneware. The sculptor is Marco Antonio Nogueron.

An amazing bowl made by L' Objet, with original box. We have two of them, and they are indeed meant to show off and not intended for food.

We have two of these marvelous bookcases. Flank them on either side of a fireplace, and they make interesting art themselves, as well as holding art.

A beautiful cast iron dutch oven by Staub.

Stunning Dinette or Dining Table & upholstered chairs.

I will update information about the table - but as you can see, it's made of one piece of wood and absolutely sensational.

Cuisinart Toaster Oven, but not your Grandma's Toaster Oven, lol. Nice.

A couple of the knives, by Laguiole, made in France, where they know how to cook, lol.

Interesting All Clad baking dishes - it would appear that the inside has been coated with some sort of brass coating. More information to follow when I find out more about this. We have about 8 All Clad baking dishes.

Cutie Patootie fake little tree in a neat pot. For that corner you're not quite sure what to do with!

This is a very unique ginger jar, again more information forthcoming.

Oh, super sweet Adirondack chairs made of TEAK. I want to sit out there and read one of the hundreds of books for sale here, but no such luck!

I believe this is a sleeper sofa by Richard Honquest - that said, it's super comfortable, which is unusual for a sleeper sofa...and THAT said, it's awfully heavy, so bring muscle if you plan to buy it!!

Royal Doulton Art Glass Vase - exquisite, as you can see from the picture!

Ooh I think this vase or jar may be one of my favorite things in the home. I'll find out more about the manufacturer and the process, but I can tell you this is one good looking piece of art glass or pottery.

Now we'll start showing the books in earnest. So many great titles, all in fabulous condition.

Sorry for the boxes in this photo, but they are covering up most of a really nice stainless steel shelving unit that you usually see in restaurants - beautiful shelving that would be perfect for your garage or basement for storage.

This is a super nice piece of Moorcroft pottery in the fish motif. We have two other pieces as well.

We have two urns like this, purchased through Front Gate.

Two fabulous bar stools. The fabric seems very durable and my guess is you can take a damp rag and clean them. Perfect condition, as is everything else in this home.

Here is the marking for the Hermes China Set.

Look at the auxiliary pieces here - I can only imagine what the original prices were! Gorgeous.

In the 1700's, when people of wealth were hit with hard times, it wasn''t unusual for them to cut up portraits and to sell the pieces of the paintings. This is an example and it's quite lovely.

Close your eyes and you could think you are in an exclusive spa in the bathroom of this home.

IARCA? Iorca? IARCA? Sure is a neat original painting!

These are sensational salt and pepper shakers - pick one up and you will want them, they are that nice.

This is an incredibly lovely statue of the BVM holding the baby Jesus. It's very old.

Check out the beautiful wood and design of this little occasional table. Wowsa! Actually, it opens up in the middle of the top and Voila! You pull out a bar!

This is a really cute folk painting, huge, and we are trying to discover the artist name. It appears to be IORCA, but could be IARCA. Either way, we’re researching our eyeballs out on this one!

Sweet! Richard Ginori very rare PINK creamer and sugar bowl; made in Italy.

This is that lovely fish platter by Hermes.

Hermes box for the 23" Oval Fish Plate. Purchase price was $1,500.

Interesting piece. This is a bronze figurine of St. Francis of Assisi, a replica of a lifesize bronze of the Saint in Assisi by Noberto (see booklet).

This is the mark on the rear, which reads Ironstone and Chapdo or Chardo - more on this later.

This is a very rare Flow Blue antique platter. I will find out more information but it may be one of the last of its kind anywhere.
