Description & Details
SATURDAY IS HALF PRICE DAY IN TINLEY PARK!
In 20 years, we've never seen anything quite like this -- and we're thrilled!
This is the estate of an avid shopper and saver. Everything was covered in plastic. Everything. This is the cleanest house we've ever worked in, and we never had to so much as wipe down a glass or dust a piece of furniture. In her massive clothing collection, we've barely found any pieces that looked like they had been worn ... and in fact, so much of it still has tags on!
Here's the rundown on what you'll find in the sale, and if there's one ... chances are there are 5. Or 10. She really really liked to shop, and she didn't use much of what she brought home. A LOT of what's for sale is brand new (but retro/vintage), in package or tags on.
It's kind of like if Carol Brady sold everything in her kitchen and closets once the kids moved out ..... and then also bought a lot of jewelry from HSN when she got older.
You're in for a treat!
Vintage clothing: there are a couple pieces that are pre-60s, but for the most part, this must be every thing they sold in Kresge's, Woolworth, and K-Mart in the 70s. Sizes are mostly vintage medium and large, shoes are 7, bras are mostly 38B.
- Sweaters --most styles in multiple colors/patterns. Most unworn, with tags.
- Blouses -- most styles in muptiple colors/patterns. Most unworn, with tags.
- Skirts (see above)
- Pull-on pants (see above and OH MY GOSH the double-knit patterns are insanely awesome!)

- There are a few panels of barkcloth
- There are 6 AWESOME Chenille spreads. One has fading, the rest are super clean. In today's terms, these would be full/queen.
Vintage Sewing: storage box after storage box of fabric. A lot of polyesters died in the making of all the double knit in this sale. There are also wools and cottons, synthetics.

Cleaning stuff
In a house this spotless, you know there will be plenty of cleaning supplies -- brooms, dusters, lots of liquid dish soap, lots of Pledge, lots of foils and wraps, lots of .... all of that! Personal hygiene, also: soaps, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.
Garage
Hand tools, painting supplies, ladders, lawn and garden, gadgets, what-nots. Good picking in the garage.
.... and there's more as you look around. It's never possible to list everything, but the pictures will help tell the rest of the story.
Our numbers are passed out 1/2 hour before we open; we'll use a watched list for assigning numbers, but then the list is void. You must be present to get a number, and present to enter when your number is called ... or you'll lose your spot.
Cash is welcome; credit cards are accepted for purchases of $20 or more with no fee.
... and, as always, a Kiss on your way out the door.
