Be advised that for many purchases, if you will need a large vehicle - Lowes, Menards and Home Depot do rent utility trucks for reasonable prices - like $18-$20 for the first 75 minutes or we can recommend a reputable delivery or moving company. . But please remember you need sturdy and strong individuals to help you move items, and due to previous injuries and liability, our staff cannot be of assistance doing this. Further, all purchases should be removed by Monday evening if possible, and we need to make appointments with the Arboretum security for pickups on Monday. Thanks in advance for understanding!

Hello All,
We are pleased to announce our next estate sale, which will be a moving sale for the outgoing president of the Morton Arboretum for the past 30-plus years. There is a plethora of fine items being sold, with something for everyone.
Because there are quite a few items that have never been opened or are in mint condition, you could probably do all your Holiday Shopping in one trip, Who could ask for more on a balmy 70's weekend in October?
Here's a glimpse of some of what we are selling, and by the way, we will be adding additional photos and descriptions later this evening as well, but this is a good start:
- Lest I forget to mention, there is fabulous teak outdoor furniture, including table, chairs, umbrella, loveseat, a chaise lounge and additional seating. There are several obelisk or trellises, a double compost bin. It's a terrific set in excellent condition.
- The dining room has an enormous dining table with 8 chairs by Bob Timberlake for Lexington Furniture, with 3 leaves. The leaves can be removed for a normal size table, however it's nice to know that for special occasions, this table can be expanded to fit at least 10-12 people. Also, a very nice (Mission Style?) matching China Cabinet, also by Bob Timberlake for Lexington. In addition, a charming area rug and miscellaneous decor by Fitz & Floyd and more.
- The Library features an incredible amount of books in all genres - coffee table books, hard cover trade, literature, reference, gardening, page-turning paper backs, you name it on four walls of book shelves. Hundreds. There is a beautiful leather recliner and a leather loveseat, interesting lamps, nice area rug, art and more. Leather Power Recliner by Smith Brothers and a matching Leather Loveseat, Lamps, a Floor Lamp & Table, Media Cabinet by Seven Seas by Hooker, 46" Toshiba HD TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Google Chromecast.
- The Family Room/Sun Room, with its wall of windows overlooking the scenic property, has an awesome iron and wood Dinette Set, (Table is Nichols & Stone and Chairs are Charleton Forge - they originally paid $1200 PER CHAIR - and they are beautiful). Sofa and Loveseat are made by Smith Brothers out of Indiana, Two upholstered Wingback chairs are by Smith Brothers as well.a nice Etagėre is from Charleston Forge, as is a sofa table, and in addition we have a large 500 year anniversary Globe by Repogle and a painted cute cabinet, also a Young-Hinkle 5-drawer chest of drawers and a fern and tan rug, and finished with a framed Chinese Peasant Original painting. We can't forget a Lane Cedar Chest, vintage, and a Whole Box of RECORD ALBUMS.
- The formal Living Room features a comfortably classy Sofa and Loveseat from Berne Furniture, done in a fitting and fabulous fabric of Green With Leaves, (it's the arboretum, remember?) a Comfy upholstered Chair and Ottoman from Smith Brothers Furniture out of Indiana, Round 40" glass Coffee Table with a Mahogany Base. Also a pair of Harden upholstered chairs, and a Farmhouse 28" Round accent Table.. Further, we have a Milling Road for Baker Side Table, Lamps, a TV Armoire, a super sharp large area rug, and much decor. We also are displaying a big variety of designer handbags from Coach, Kate Spade, Dooney & Bourke, Carlos Falchi, Hobo International, Yoshi Lichfield, Michael Kors and more, A large painting on silk, as well as a beautiful portrait painted on Board, and some exquisite florals and other objets d'art, Oh, and I nearly forgot the Jewelry! Some perfect jewelry for teens and young girls, and some truly memorable pieces for a Jewelry Maniac with brand names like Brighton, Pandora, Lia Sophia and watches by Victorinox, Skagen, more...
- The Office has a very nice leather topped desk by Hekman, some wonderful original paintings, more BOOKS (including an array of famous author's books about Christmas) beautiful Botanical paintings, rug, lamps, cameras and equipment, Apple TV, Lingerie-Style Chest, Paper Shredder, and more! Remote Control Helicopter, r/c Drone, NFL PS2 Headset, EOS Canon Digital Rebel Camera, Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera, Office Depot Shredder and Miscellaneous Office Supplies,
- The Kitchen is fully equipped with a lot of small appliances - there are three Coffee Makers (2 Kierig Machines and one NetSpresso with attachments,) Vintage PYREX collection, MacKenzie-Childs new Swirl Picks, cookware by All Clad, including a Slow Cooker, a couple of cool DeRuta pottery pieces from Italy, Assorted Bar Glassware and Beautiful Stemware, Tumblers and more - just in time for Thanksgiving! - In the Basement, you'll find a world class collection of PAPER STAMPING AND CRAFT SUPPLIES - worth a small fortune, per our homeowner, and I believe it, very well organized and originally quite expensive. Also includes children's antique desk and Table & Chair, a boatload of CHRISTMAS, THANKSGIVING, HALLOWEEN, Bobble Heads, Suitcases, Brio Train, Duplos, and much much more,
OH, AND DID WE MENTION BASKETS???
- Garage, features a boy's bicycle, sled, two awesome display tables (the kind a store like the Gap would use), Coleman Cooking Stove, Weber Grill, Dog Kennels and Gates, Clothes Steamer, Toro Snow Shovel, Kiddie Wading Pool, Remington Limb 'n Trim Chain Saw, Camp Chairs, Dart Board, Horseshoe Set, Folding Table & Chairs, Air Purifier, Snow Trax, A brand new still in the box Copper Water Fountain, Shop Vac, Paper Shredder and more. There is a workshop adjacent to the garage and this is full of all sorts of tools.
- Bedrooms will be described and photos may be posted at the 11th hour, but this gives you enough to add this sale to your calendar and join us for a marvelous sales event in a most beautiful setting you'll ever see. If you plan ahead, you may be able to buy a timed ticket for Arboretum admission on Sunday - call and see if there are vacancies. .It's sure to be a lovely day!
