Checkout Date/Time: Saturday, August 1st, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.) Shipping will be available at this auction on specified lots. Within 12 hours of the auction ending, you will receive a text message and email from Shipping Saint to select a pickup time or shipping. You MUST select your pickup time as soon as possible. It is the bidder’s responsibility to contact Wiegmann Auctioneers office PRIOR to the auction ending for an alternate pickup time. Please call our office to make these arrangements. If merchandise is NOT removed within the day of pickup, it is considered abandoned and may be resold, and any cost of removal, deficiency, or loss may be charged to the Buyer (unless you have contacted and scheduled a later date with our office). A successful winning bidder is responsible for bringing adequate help and all necessary equipment and or supplies to remove items. Please bring your own packing and moving supplies. Dates: 07/10/2026 - 07/31/2026, ends with first lot, 45 second soft staggered close @ 5:00 p.m. EST Preview Date/Time: Preview will be Thursday, July 30th, 2026, 12PM- 6 PM. All items will be sold "as is where is" with no physical warranty, express or implied. While the information advertised has been deemed reliable, neither the auction company, seller, nor publisher shall be liable for any errors or for the correctness of descriptions. All purchases are made "As-Is, Where-Is" based entirely on the personal inspection and or opinion of the purchaser and without warranty or guarantee of any kind. The auction company makes every effort to take multiple pictures, note defects, note dimensions of items, and provide as much information as possible to ensure confidence in bidding. Please call the auctioneer with any questions or concerns before bidding on any items. The auction company is not responsible for items with defects, confusion of the size of an item, or any other characteristics of the items offered for auction. Please bring the method of payment to pick-up site on the scheduled date, and you MUST pay before getting your items. We do not charge cards on file, unless you fail to pick up your items. BRING METHOD OF PAYMENT WITH YOU WHEN PICKING UP. A 18% buyers premium will be collected on ALL items. If paying with credit/debit card IN PERSON, there will be an extra 3% convenience fee. If paying with credit/debit card through HIBID there will be a 3.5% convenience fee. Winning bidder agrees to pay Wiegmann Auctioneers the full amount of the winning bid amount and the buyer's premium. NO refunds and NO chargebacks. If the bidder fails to pick up items on the day of the pickup, all items will be considered abandoned. Bidders who have not paid by the date of the scheduled pickup will be charged through their registered credit/debit card on the day of the pickup day. If the winning bidder's credit card is declined and does not pay for the winning lot(s), Wiegmann Auctioneers will report the user to Hibid. This may result in a permanent ban from Hibid. Wiegmann Auctioneers reserves its rights and remedies to recoup its fees. Personal Check Policy. Personal checks will be accepted only if credit has been established with Wiegmann Auctioneers. The purchaser agrees to pay Wiegmann Auctioneers a handling charge of $35 for any check dishonored by the drawee. Shipping - Shipping is available on certain lots. If you buy a lot without prior permission that requires shipping, Wiegmann Auctioneers has the right to decline the shipping order. Within 12 hrs of the auction ending, you will receive a text message and email from Shipping Saint to select a pick-up time and or shipping. We may take up to 20 business days to ship for large auctions. There is a $5.00 handling fee in accordance with the shipping fee itself. You will be billed separately for shipping when your items are packed & weighed. All shipping fees must be paid directly through the Shipping Saint link. You will receive this link through text and email. Shipping will be via USPS, FedEx, or UPS. When the shipping invoice is paid, shipping will be finalized, and you will receive a tracking number once your label is printed. If the winning bidder has requested shipping, then the winning bidder further agrees to pay packing, shipping materials, and handling fees, plus costs of shipping and insurance per box. We understand shipping is expensive, and Wiegmann Auctioneers will make its best effort to combine winning lots into one (1) box if possible. Wiegmann Auctioneers is not responsible for any breakage during the shipping process. We make sure to provide as much packing material to prevent this from happening. Once the package leaves our warehouse, we are not responsible. Any delays in mailing or loss of packaging will not be responsible by Wiegmann Auctioneers.

The auction features hundreds of unique items that helped define the Back 40 experience, including original railroad equipment, baggage carts, switch lanterns, Pennsylvania Railroad and Railway Express signs, Fairmont inspection car, caboose, antique benches, Old Hickory furniture, vintage advertising, primitive farm implements, folk art, Native American and Western décor, stoneware, cast iron collectibles, railroad collectibles, one-of-a-kind restaurant décor, and countless conversation pieces that have delighted guests for years.

Highlights include the world-famous Back 40 Junction Train Wall Mirror, the iconic caged lion print from the restaurant's famous Buffett Line, the 1895 Chicago Burlington & Quincy (CB&Q) Waycar/Caboose, multiple authentic railroad baggage carts, vintage telephone booth, railroad signal equipment, antique furniture, handcrafted metal sculptures, advertising signs, rare local Decatur and Fort Wayne memorabilia, and hundreds of additional antiques and collectibles. Many large outdoor items and railroad artifacts will require buyer removal. Arrangements can be made for the larger items (outside) to be removed at a later date. Please review individual lot descriptions for dimensions, condition, and removal requirements.

Shipping is available on most items. However, only small items will be shipped by Wiegmann Auctioneers. All other items will be shipped by UPS or Pakmail.
