Flipside Estates is proud to present items of historical significance collected by the Indianapolis Medical Society located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Established in 1848, the IMS plays a significant role operating exclusively for charitable and educational purposes by means of scholarships to medical, nursing, and other allied health professionals. Many items listed in this auction were originally the fine furnishings to the estate of Indianapolis’ Levey Brothers Company businessman, Louis H. Levey. After the death of Levey’s widow, Meta Levey, in 1959, the lavish home and its contents were left to the Indianapolis Medical Society.
