Vintage Hand-Knotted Tekke Bokhara Area Rug: A vintage hand-knotted Tekke Bokhara area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of red, black, and ivory. It begins with three vertical rows of Tekke medallions interspersed with smaller Chemche medallions on a red field. Framing the field are six geometric box borders and two horizontal panels, at the top and bottom of the field, feauring dyrnak hooked diamond medallions. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
