Mrs. Kowalczyk, an accomplished artist herself, was founder and president of the Center for Visual and Performing Arts beautiful building in Munster -- she was the energy that did the fund-raising to get the center built. She was president of the Northern Indiana Arts Association (South Shore Arts). Attorney Kowalczyk was a prosecuting attorney in Lake County, Indiana.
