Steve and Judy Ball have owned Horsefeathers Antiques for more than 30 years. During that time they have developed an incredible eye for unique antiques, artwork and decorative items. Steve & Judy recently sold their 4,000 square foot warehouse and have decided it is time to sell over 400 lots of personal collections, inventory and more. Many of these items have never before been offered.
Some of the highlights of the more than 200 lots of artwork include pieces by BJO Nordfeldt, Luigi Kasimir, Daniel Sherrin, Frank Nuderscher, Albert Katcham Murray, Frederic James, Vivian Westmoreland, Graham Forman, Jean Jacques Henner, Weisbuch, Carl Peteren, C. Mersby, David Melby, Lenore Beran, Finn Wennerwold and many many more. There are also 4 works that are unsigned that are very much in the style of Roger Medearis who was a student of Thomas Hart Benton.
Other collections include lots of great folk art, Masonic items, formal and primitive furniture, an interesting assortment of smalls, a fantastic collection of early Kansas City photographs including the Stock Yards fire panaramic. There are several salesmen samples, lamps, a collection of lead soldiers, lots of picture frames, country store showcases, tables full of small sold in job lots, an outstanding plaster bust of a Lion from the old Emery, Bird, Thayer department store here in Kansas City, needlework and much more.
