THE SELLER’S GRANDPARENTS WERE ANTIQUE DEALERS IN THE 1960’S & 1970’S AND OWNED THE “SMOKY HILL COLLECTIBLE BOOKSTORE” IN WESTPORT DURING THE SAME TIME. THE FAMILY HAD MANY LOCAL TIES AND AT ONE TIME, THE NELSON-ATKINS MUSEUM OF ART HAD INTEREST IN PIECES THROUGHOUT THE HOME. WHEN WE WERE SETTING UP THIS AUCTION, WE FOUND SALE BILLS AND AUCTION TICKETS BACK TO THE 1950’S!
