SHAWNEE MISSION LA SERTOMA -- HUGE SALE IN MISSION HILLS TWO DAYS ONLYWednesday, Sept. 19 and Thursday, Sept. 20, 9 to 5 ONLY!   The City of Mission Hills allows only TWO-DAY SALES SO IT'S ONLY WEDS. AND THURS.!  This is a nice clean high-end sale, tons of neat stuff, lots of furniture, great artwork, horse-themed items, interesting stuff.  Take a look at the pictures!

DINING ROOM, TO YOUR LEFT AS YOU ENTER THE FRONT DOOR:  Edelstein Bavarian China, Waterford crystal in Lismore pattern, lots of other crystal, Thomasville dining room table and chairs,  china cabinet, sideboard;  Reed and Barton Tara Sterling silver, lots of other nice serving and decorative pieces;

FORMAL LIVING ROOM TO THE RIGHT AS YOU ENTER: Neat secretary; lamps, pictures, side tables;

HALLWAY:  Howard Miller grandfather clock, or is that a case clock:  several pieces of artwork; small oriental cabinet;

FAMILY ROOM:  Straight ahead through the hallway as you enter the front door.  Lots of nice artwork, prints and etchings, including  Charles Banks Wilson etching, Huge and wonderful Leroy Neiman signed print of horses that's a fantastic showpiece; Jim Hamill print, couple of prints of Harry Truman home; cribbage boards, including neat handmade cribbage board made out of a walnut log, possibly?  It would look  neat on your coffee table.

KITCHEN AND BREAKFAST ROOM:  Dishes, kitchen stuff, glasses, mugs, etc.  Breakfast room has some jewelry, a couple of nice baker's racks.  Laundry room off of that has TWO sewing machines, washer and dryer, they look newer.

FLORIDA ROOM, or is it just a sunroom?  Also off of the family room on the opposite side of the kitchen.  Several pieces of bamboo? or wicker furniture; there's a neat primitive wooden cart that I'd call a tumbril just because I read "Tale of Two Cities" in high school; lots of pots, plants, some nice shelves for sunrooms, etc., and, inexplicably, lots of nice new ladies' shoes, because this is the kind of room to kick your shoes off, I guess.

BEDROOM: down the hall, to the left:  Queen-sized bed frame, nice dresser and mirror, and armoire and I think it's Thomasville?  A nice name, and they're nice pieces.  Good-name purses.  Some ladies' clothing.  Some men's clothing.  To the left is the

OFFICE.  Desk, lots of office stuff, neat horse-themed print, nice framed landscape; books, etc.

UPSTAIRS:  Front door, straight ahead:  Nice small bookcase, books, small antique rocker, nice record cabinet with records, too;

BEDROOM, to the right:  Nice solid brass bed, I think it's queen size.  Linens.

FINISHED BASEMENT:  To your left is an entertainment room with a nice pool table in great condition, a very nice round table and chairs, a bistro set, a nice wooden church bench, go to your far right and there's another OFFICE with a lovely wooden Scandanavian-style desk, a PLAYBOY MAGAZINE collection, lots of Christmas things, keep on through the door and you'll find a large BAR and music entertainment room and that includes a JUKEBOX loaded with great martini-time music.  PLAYER PIANO, newer, with a ton of player-piano rolls.  Keep going around to the right and you'll find the BASEMENT, which has lots of stuff stored in it, like some extra kitchen entertaining stuff, some nice off-season clothing, a Nordictrack, and I forget what else but you know you'll find interesting stuff.  And don't miss the

GARAGE, and it's somewhere kind of off the basement stairs, I forget where I was.  Nice luggage, yard tools, a log carrier, some kitchen stuff that we didn't have room for, and other stuff.

AND REMEMBAH--Shawnee Mission LaSertoma is an ALL-VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION (that's right, I don't get paid for these pearls of wisdom) with ALL OF OUR PROFITS going to nurse scholarships at Johnson County Community College!  JOIN US!
