SHAWNEE MISSION LA SERTOMA ESTATE SALE--A FLASH-BANG-WHITE-HOT CRACKER OF A SALE!

SHAWNEE MISSION LA SERTOMA--ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY PACKED SALE!  Wednesday, July 11, Thursday, July 12, 9 to 4 p.m., Friday, 9 to 3 p.m., and YES, IT'S SO PACKED WE'RE OPEN ON SATURDAY TOO, from 9 to NOON ONLY!  I'm not exaggerating when I say this place is packed--I've seen small-town general stores with less stock!  You'll find the Clock Department, the Office Supplies Department, the Pharmacy--I've definitely seen small-town pharmacies with less!  And yes, there's a Vintage Clothing Department--some neat ladies' clothing from the 70s.  Oh, and don't miss our FUR COAT DEPARTMENT!  And I want to make it clear that THIS LADY WAS NOT A HOARDER!  Everything is in very nice condition and I don't think anybody found any mold, spiders, or dead mice (I'm not naming any sale names on that one.)  There's a combination of antiques, vintage and nice useable things at this sale.

LIVING ROOM:  Enter the front door, look to your left and see several nice winter coats, some vintage, darned if I can remember if they're all ladies' coats?  Keep to your left for the Clock Department, Books, Vintage Knick-Knacks, lamps, sofa, chair, lots of nice pictures.

KITCHEN/DINING DEPARTMENT:  Oh my goodness there is a lot of useful kitchen stuff here:  Pots, pans, dishes, glassware. Small electrical appliances.  Straight through to the

GARAGE DEPARTMENT.  LOTS AND LOTS of kids' toys and collectibles.  Garden tools.  Hmmmm, other stuff.  Back around past the front door, first door on your left:

LADIES' CLOTHING and PHARMACY DEPARTMENTS, lots of ladies' clothing including vintage; lots of ladies' housecoats, some vintage; a couple of wigs; and this is where you will find our exclusive FUR COAT DEPARTMENT.  Yes, ladies, one day IT WILL GET COLD AGAIN.  Next bedroom is

THE OFFICE SUPPLY DEPARTMENT. I wish I could remember the joke Ronda made:  Office Maximum?  Office Despot?  Anyway, there's lots and lots of printer paper, scissors, pens, tape dispensers, pencils, you name it.  A whole bookshelf full of ladies' perfumes, too.

THIRD BEDROOM DEPARTMENT:  A great mid-century modern cabinet, see pictures, it's beautiful  A couple of nice country-style cabinets.  Lots of linens, nice chair, some more clothing and some vintage.  And then turn back to go towards the living room through to the kitchen and look to your left to find 

FILL-EM-UP'S BARGAIN BASEMENT!   This is definitely one of the largest in-stock plastic tub departments you'll find in the Midwest.  Lots of ladies' purses.  Computer stuff. Other stuff which I can't remember now but maybe the pictures will jog my memory.  Gimme a break, it's been more than a week since I saw this stuff!
