Also, in the garage is a 401 cubic inch Buick Sprint Car Engine, built for Taylor “Pappy” Weld who was a legendary Kansas City Sprint Car Owner, mechanic and patriarch of a premier Midwestern racing family. It has Hilborn fuel injection, set up for alcohol fuel, has Jahns racing pistons, heads were built by Jerry and Greg Weld and Offenhauser valve covers. This engine was in the Weld racing car but was pulled because it had too much torque. This was told to us by the son.
