Welcome to Lex.CTBids – Bell Court is one of our favorite neighborhoods! With so much history, this house is no exception. And with 230 Lots, there’s a lot to see. We are extending Preview by an additional 30 minutes to give you a little extra time. Make sure you mark your calendars to come out on Wednesday, March 20th from 4:00pm – 6:30pm to Preview three levels of the house, plus garage.
You’re going to love the selection of antique and vintage furniture and collectibles. Furniture includes Mid-Century Modern and Art Deco period pieces, plus vanities, dressers, secretaries, marble-top, waterfall, bedroom, chests, benches, hutches, rockers, accent tables. Vintage items galore – tubs, crocks, kitchen, dining, tools, outdoor, camping, quilts, military, smoking, trunks, cast iron, jars, buckets, clothing, and sewing. The highlight of this auction is the large selection of fine jewelry and sterling. Includes diamonds, pearls, topaz, gold, platinum, pocket watches, brooches, and costume. Plus Gorham flatware, Julep cups, and other sterling pieces. This client was a known maker of the Kentucky long rifle. We will be selling a collection of his long rifles with beautiful wood & brass detail, plus some of his molds, stock, etc. Along with these guns, we will be selling an assortment of pistols, rifles, shotguns, and a WWII pin from the home through a Silent Bid process. You may view our ad on our auction site to see the full list of guns and get more details on bidding. Of special interest – Colt US Army pistol, Ruger .22cal single-six pistol, and Remington double-barrel Model 1900 shot gun – 8 guns total.
We will be using our RSVP process for Preview, as we do not release the address for our in-home auctions publicly. To RSVP send a message to AuctionLex@gmail.com with name/email of all attending. We will send you a note the morning of with the address and check-in procedure. Make sure you come early enough to see everything. Plus bring some cash along, as we have a room dedicated to Cash-n-Carry. We’ve taken into consideration the SEC basketball tournament schedule and think that there should be no conflicts. If we need to change something, we will send an extra email notice out and post on our Facebook Page – Caring Transitions Lexington.
House Logistics: There are items on all 3 levels of the house. As a general rule, the main level numbers are in the 100s, upstairs 200s, basement and garage 300s, jewelry and guns with be by the front desk (off premises except for Preview/Pick-up days). The stairs leading down to the basement are steep, however you will be able to use the storm door entrance in the back yard on pick-up day. Keep this in mind and make sure you bring adequate help to move and carry items. We will be assigning the driveway for larger, heavy items as well. There should be plenty of street parking.
