This one is a doozy y'all. Historic house on Stanford Ave with so many treasures inside. Yeah it's gonna be a little hard to get to - there is no parking on the street, no parking in the driveway, but trust me, it's worth it. There's Victorian, Art Nouveau, Indian Pottery and Baskets, Duck Decoys, Sterling Silver pieces, hell when we unpacked a quilt an iPad fell out so you know, who knows what you'll find here. Well I mean, I do cause I had to go through it all and price it, but you don't - So check back frequently.

Just cause they're are so many I will be naming all of the decoys in an attempt to try and be organized with them. So may I introduce to you, the act you've known for all these years - Sgt Peppers Lonley Hearts Club Band.....

Might as well keep the Beatles theme going and call this guy Ringo. Partly cause he's got a ring around his neck and partly cause he's a damn good drummer. You should hear him nail "In The Air Tonight"

This guys Arthur. Not only does he just look like an Arthur but it's another great Beatles reference (if you can tell me the the reference I'll give you an extra 10% Arthur and Arthur alone)

This is Grandpa Joe. I don't know how old he is but he feels really old. Also he looks like he'd want to tell you inappropriate war stories about his time in the bush (like literally he probably spent a lot of time in bushes. He is a duck decoy)

These are the twins, Fred and George. They're both in pretty good shape. Based on my googling they appear to be Coots, which is apparently an actual type of duck and not just old man insult.

This guy is one of my favorites, I don't know why. I love the faded paint, and the shape and just how worn he is. We're gonna call him Woody.

This is Chunk. He's got a bit of a head injury but it doesn't stop him from doing his job. Which I supposed is just to float there. Also another google search leads me to believe that this a ring-neck duck because of the white ring at the base of the beak so why isn't it called a ring-beak duck?

This is Little Lord Fauntleroy, he defiantly is more of the sit on the shelf and be admired kind of duck than the get in the mud with the peasants kind of duck.

Greg knows he's practically naked but he doesn't care. He's a strong independent duck who doesn't need to follow your prudish ideal of modesty.

This one I just call "Big Guy". He lost his tail in a hunting accident a few years ago but he doesn't let that slow him down. (Also don't ask him about it, he doesn't like to talk about it)

This is One Eyed Willie. The famous pirate duck of Astoria. If you find his treasure you can save the town!

Kyle here shaves his chest to look more impressive but he'll deny it if you ask him about it.

Peter's a hard working Mallard whose not ready to be put up on a shelf. Sure there's a chunk out of his head, and yea he's only got half a beak but he's just as capable as any of his friends here.

Ok, so this is the illusive Hammer Head Duck, a rare species that you don't normally see this far south. Just kidding, this is Harry, He has whatever the duck version of Alopecia. He decided that's not gonna stop him from living his best life though. He's such an inspiration.

Ok, so this guy's got some jaw damage. And a hole in his side, but his paint job is in really good shape. We're gonna call him Harvey.

These guys are in the worst shape of the lot. In the back we've got Daffy - lost his beak in a hunting argument with a very short man with a lisp. In the middle is Bob and in the front is Ichabod.

I'm not gonna name all these little guys but I will tell you that they're all hand carved by J.R. Flynn who is from Slidell, so hometown boys.

The homeowner was in Oil and we've found some really cool Petroliana (which is actually a real word even though I'm kinda skeptical), these are really cool. We've got a set from Cameron and a set from Lafayette.

You might think this is a normal grandfather clock, but take a closer look (move to next picture)

Yes that is the Mobil Oil Pegasus on the pendulum, and yes he did receive this grandfather clock as a retirement gift. Kind of makes the usual gold watch look a bit cheesy huh? Also you don't have to be a Petroleum collector to enjoy this clock - It really is a great clock with fabulous chimes and you can just pretend the pegasus is a mystical creature that swings back and forth and powers the clock.

For all those times you just need to know the price of gas while sitting in your living room (disclaimer - the sign doesn't miraculously display the current price of gas - you have to actually write it on there)

Why is one of the pins facing a different direction? Is he the leader? Is he better than the others? Who knows. Also that is a 24k gold Mobil Pegasus Tie Pin. Which I almost threw away cause I thought it was a crappy piece of jewelry - so you know, don't just things by their appearance.

Can I ask you just how much beans were people eating in Boston back in the day? To the point where they made a pot just to cook them specifically? Like a lot of pots to cook all the beans? Apparently the shape allows for minimal evaporation while also allowing a slow cooking time. For the all the beans. That people were eating.

It looks like that pitcher is black and white but it's actually Cobalt Blue and white. Made in Poland, which apparently makes it more special than ones not made in Poland. That moonshine jug was made in the USA.

Ok, so I know those are ginger beer jars, but were the called that because they held ginger beer or because they are ginger colored and held beer? I mean I could probably google that but where's the fun in that.

These are vintage leaf shape Ikebana pottery vases. Ikebana is the art of Japanese flower arrangement. There's nothing funny about that, just a bit of knowledge for you.

We have 2 of these. There's only one in the picture because we didn't actually find the other one until after I'd taken the picture.

These are signed Hammat original bowls. They've got adorable tiny feet on them.

This vase is signed by S. Antonio, Acoma NM. It's got a great black and white starburst pattern.

This blackware pottery vase is signed E. Bigmeat. This is apparently called the Friendship pattern. Likely never to be confused with the Pyrex Friendship pattern of red and orange birds and flowers.

This one isn't signed. but it's still gorgeous San Ildefonso style vase.

I love this little guy. I have no idea why there is a tiny man in the Raven's stomach but I like to think that they tiny man is cold and the Raven is keeping him warm. Most likely the Raven ate the tiny man but you know it depends on wether you're glass half full or half empty I suppose

This piece is signed by Christine "Rippling Water" Cutlow.

This little guy is also another favorite. He kinda looks like the owl version of Eeyore. I can just imagine him saying things like "Oh Bother" can't you?

This Jemez pottery vase is signed Dorela Tosa. The colors and pattern are amazing on this one.

This piece is unsigned but the design, colors and style appear to be Santo Domingo pueblo pottery, but I can't be sure. There is just something about it that I like though.

There are a few smaller piece that might now be in the picture, honestly there's a lot of very different styles of Pottery in this sale. I'm terrified I'm going to break something every time I turn around.

These are Choctaw Elbow baskets. I'm sure it's because they are shaped like an elbow, but they'd also fit well on your elbow.

This is an adorable Coushatta Turtle Effigy basket. I love his little head poking out!

This basket is a great size and shape for basket-y things.

This adorable little guy is a Cherokee Fruit Basket, it's got the original tag with the maker's name on it.

This is a Yahi basket from Mill and Deer Creeks in California circa 1872. This is in great shape for being over 100 years old.

This is a Birch Bark basket with a great star detail on the inside.

Sweet grass coil basket from the Southwest. Great red and green colors. Very functional as a basket as well.

I love the purples in this lidded sweet grass basket. Plus a lid is always good so people can't see what you hide in there.

A tisket a tasket a tan and yellow splint ash and sweetgrass basket. UPDATE someone had the bright idea to open the basket and found an authentication papers it is in fact a Clara Keezer

This is the most useful basket of the lot. Gullah and Pine needle coil basket with a latching lid and handle. You can do everything with this. Put stuff in it. Hide the stuff you put in it with a lid and also carry the stuff somewhere else cause it's got a handle.

This is a Choctaw cane pointed basket woven by Elsie Battiest - a third generation basket weaver.

This is also a choctaw cane pointed basket but I don't know who the weaver was, though it doesn't make it any less special.

See the many baskets we have and there are probably more that I didn't get a picture of. I know there are a few flower gathering baskets and one really awesome one I'll try to get a picture of up for y'all.

I like the handle on this one, if it had a lid you could carry it like a purse.

This is a great backgammon set. Confession -I always thought it was Batgammon, like batman but I decided to double check before I typed that and I'm very glad that I did. I used to play backgammon with my grandpa I think, I remember playing this when I was young, but not sure who with. Anyone wanna play a game sale day?

Don't worry, not only is this Coushatta Pine Cone turkey basket in amazing condition but we have three of them! A daddy, a mommy, and a baby! They could only be cuter if they nested together like Matryoshka dolls.

THIS IS THE TINY BABY ONE, how cute is this?!?!?!

Here's Big Daddy Ray. I have no idea why I named him Ray, it just happened when I was typing. Don't question it just go with it.

This little guy is a Coushatta duck effigy basket. He's just as adorable as his turtle counterpart. Not sure if I made this clear but on both of them the top comes off and they are actual baskets, not just little statues.

These are Native American rug samplers. I would randomly find them rolled up inside of stuff. It was like a super weird scavenger hunt.

I love this one, the colors the eagle, it's got it all.

I'm usually not a fan of red/orange with blue but somehow this works for me.

this one is about double the size of the others so I'm not sure if it's a sampler or if it has some other purpose, but honestly once you buy it, it can serve whatever purpose you want it to.

This is a Hopi pictorial basket plaque. the graphic quality of the eagle is what makes this pop. Also for some reason in my head when I look at this I hear the Eagle going "weeeeeeeeeeeeeee". So that's fun.

I'm ready for my close up. (I'm really not, I'm sitting on my couch in my pj's with a really messy bun right now but I'm trying to set the mood)

These are really cool cameras honestly to just put on a shelf, but based on the investigating I did, I'm pretty sure given the right film, they would actually work.

I love these accordion ones, I always feel like an old timey reporter when I open these up.

Ok, so the one on the far left with the huge flash is called a Press Flash camera and the one on the top right is really cool the view finder opens up at the top. Also I just love the shape of the six-16 on the bottom right.

Some of these guys feel like they're most like, almost positively haunted. I mean just based on odds - one of them has to have like captured a lost soul at some point.

We still have the box for the insta-matic!!! with extra flash bulbs.

These box cameras are just interesting to me on a how they work level. I mean I don't understand it at all, but it's still interesting.

Oh boy. Wanna know how much I knew about trains before this sale? A big fat goose egg. Wanna know how much I know about trains now? Way more than I ever thought I would.

I'm jus now noticing that tank in the corner three, I"m not sure what a tank has to do with trains, or how I missed it but I did not do any research on that. Oops.

Do you know the difference between a Quad Hopper and a Cattle Stock Car? I do now, and guess what? We have both.

Some of the boxes aren't in great shape, but everyone knows it's what's on the inside that counts.

What does that brown car do? The one with the black pillars? It looks like it has a very specific purpose - can a train person tell me?

What do you call people that are train enthusiasts? Is there a difference between someone who likes trains and someone who likes toy trains? Are they mutually exclusive? These are the things I think about instead of doing actual work I need to be doing, like pricing train cars.

The little railroad crossing is so cute.

Oh! I just found another Mobilgas thing, we tried to group all of them together but some things are hard to spot on first glance. Like a real life Where's Waldo.

I bet you're thinking to yourself "Hey that fireplace mantel isn't actually on a fireplace?" And you would be right my friend. We pulled the thing off the wall like Thor just for y'all.

These black and green Eastlake chairs are really comfy.

We've set up a nice game table for people who just wanna hang out with us even more next weekend.

These chairs are so weird and I love them. They are surprisingly comfy as well. Someone, and I'm not naming names, but someone even fell asleep in one of them the other day.

Wow, I couldn't wait until they rolled this rug out all the way to take the picture. Past me was in a super rush to show you how cute it is.

I love this window turned mirror. Some of the glass panes on the bottom are cracked but honestly I think that just adds to the character.

We have two of these tables. One of them is upstairs and one is downstairs. It took me far to long to realize that there were two of them and not that Rusty and Deirdre were in some sort of war over where the table should go and kept moving it back and forth.

I know that chair looks like someone took the laser thing from Honey I Blew Up the Kids and used it on a high chair but that's not what happened - that is a Victorian Billiards Spectator Chair. Cause you had to be high enough to see the action on the table. also it's fun to sit in and swing your feet.

This chair is dangerous. Once you get in you don't want to get out. Partly cause it's super comfy and partly cause it's really hard to get out of gracefully. For me anyway -but honestly it's hard for me to get out of any chair gracefully these days.

This 5 shelf barrister shelf is upstairs and I will not be helping anyone carry it downstairs because that my friend is handblown glass inserts in those doors and nobody wants that. Trust me.

There was literally like a little squatty attic closet thing full of chairs. Like the amount of chairs in this house is astounding.

A lot is going on in tis picture but I know the one thing that everyone wants to know more about is that shepherd's hook right outside the window. Yes it is double sided.

Here's the actual high chair. How fun would it be for a family picture to take this chair and put it next to the Billiards chair, put a baby in the big chair and the dad in the little chair?

This bookshelf is so fancy you're not allowed to put stupid books on it. You can't even call it a bookshelf. You have to call it a etagere. Which is like fancy for bookshelf.

This chair is called the Nancy chair. It has been passed down in the family to five generations of Nancy. Unfortunately the family has run out of Nancy's to give this chair to. It's unclear if we're allowed to sell the chair to someone not named Nancy but I"m sure we can come to an arrangement

I kinda don't want y'all to buy these chairs cause I could really have fun with them, but also the amount of chairs that I've bought cause "I could make it really cool" is pretty high. the amount of chairs I've actually had the time to make cool? None.

One of us said this was an old toilet. One of us said this was a Victrola cabinet. I say who are we to define this piece of furniture. Why can't it be both.

This is a Victorian rotating library book shelf. It spins, it rolls, it holds books. Do you need anything else in your life.

For a whole week I did not know this cabinet was a sewing machine. It was very well hidden. Like a transformer. What if it's a transformer?

This is a Jenny Lind Day bed. I've never seen a Jinny Lind Day bed. Also the other day I was watching The Greatest Showman (great movie - def worth a watch for the musical numbers alone) and Jenny Lind was in it. Did y'all know she was an opera singer, who was just apparently so freaking good that people just slapped her name on anything and it would sell. Which is where Jenny Lind beds came from, though why those were the only Jenny Lind related items to have staying power who knows.

Why is there just a Santa on that table? Also this is a really cute little seating area, whoever buys one of these should buy the whole thing and keep the band together.

Great, red, black and gold Chinoiserie Mirror. Also it's heavy.

Ok, darn I wish we could like post short videos here so I could show you how cool this table is. It's a folding tea table, so the legs fold up and you can store it away, or even like hang it on the wall.

You can't tell but I really need to clean this shell lamp. If I forget to clean it and you buy it, I will gladly clean it for you before you leave.

This is a super fancy wall sconce that I have completely forgotten the name of. I'd tell you that I'll check it out and come back and edit this comment but we all know I'm not gonna remember to do that.

This is a much better picture of this set than before when it had all that stuff on it. Though you can barely see the shepherds hook outside so what's the point.

This bowl is as big as an ottoman. That's all you really need to know about it. Oh also it comes with all the stuff. If you buy the bowl you have to take the stuff. That's the rule, We don't want it.

Ohhhh wait, this is the super cool basket I was telling y'all about that I wanted to get a picture of. But this isn't the best picture. There's all these cool like cut out decorative bits and uhhh, I'll just get another picture.

Look, I know she needs some work but honestly who doesn't. Let he who is without flaws cast the first whatever. The bones no this thing is fantastic though. seriously.

Punch bowl. Have we figured out another use for these yet? I tried to get sweet tea bowls off the ground but no dice. Also we can't exactly have parties right now anyway wether they serve punch or sweet tea.

Oh I lied! There was a tea set. And it's really pretty. It'll go great with one of our tea carts. Hint Hint, wink wink, nudge, nudge.

This Gold rim Fleur De Lis set is so gorgeous I'm almost embarrassed that someone put it by that shell lamp that I forgot to clean.

All these souvenir spoons are sterling silver. These guys didn't mess around with the souvenirs.

Two of the watch's are Hamiltons, ones a Gruen. Also can I just ask all the men out there to please stop shaving with your watch on, the amount of hair that I have to dig out of watch crevices when I do these sales is honestly horrendous.

These are a few of the other Sterling pieces we found - this is post polishing so you can't fully appreciate how much better they look but they truly are gorgeous.

This. THIS. This is a signed Bjorn Wiinblad etched bowl for Rosenthal from 1965. This is makes my heart skip a beat. This makes me smile on rainy days. I've been obsessed with Bjorn Wiinblad from the very first piece I ever saw and the second they pulled this out of a box I knew what it was.

This pattern is Starsbourg by Glorham. The pieces are Sterling silver. There are 83 pieces total in the set (including a 3 piece S&P set and a napkin holder). There is even a serving spoon just for Bon Bons. How many bon bons were people eating back in the day. I've never had a bon bon in my life. Someone bring me a bon bon so I can feel like a fancy person who needs a bon bon serving spoon.

According to Replacements.com - this pattern is described as featuring a glossy finish, playful scrollwork, and a plum design. I was just gonna say it had swirly whirls but their description is so much better. Also I would love it if one of the adjectives used to describe me was playful.

This is a Brighton suede and leather book bag purse, perfect style for when you want that dusty-just-off-the-cattle-trail look, but also want to feel pretty.

This is a very bad shot of very pretty hand crochet linens.

I just loved this dress. It has a few rust spots but it really feels very farm girl standing in a field of softly swaying grass with muddy cowboy boots on. Oh that Brighton bag would go great with that look.

This on the other hand not so Farm Girl. This vintage Fox Fur jacket would have come in handy like a week ago but there's always next year - it's never too early to prepare for Louisiana's annual three days of freezing weather.

The stole is Mink. Do any of y'all remember in the before times when people actually used to have events to go to that warranted wearing a mink stole. We should bring that back - that everyday glamour. Lets start wearing ball gowns to the Piggly Wiggly - whose with me?!

The microwave is not for sale but all the items around it are! (Well not the cabinets but you get my drift)

Alright, I'm gonna start the debate - pressure cookers are better for cooking beans than bean pots. Discuss amongst yourselves, or come to the sale determined to prove me wrong.

Everybody has that one cabinet like this, full of random baking pans, in their kitchen - even people who don't cook. It's like mandatory. I think it just comes with the house.

Did y'all know that Fransican made like a whole lot of other patterns than just the Apple and the Rose pattern? I had no idea. I literally thought they were just like a one (or two) trick pony. They've got some really cute patterns though, some are super mod you should check them out. But I mean, these are nice too.

The cookie jar has been broken an repaired but no one will even notice if you put really good cookies in it.

I've never seen these awesome fully apple shaped salad plates. Those are cool.

This soup tureen is like larger than you think it would be. Also the curved salad plates are genus! It will like fit right next to your dinner plate so much better.

If you serve anything other than Apple Juice in this set do you think the world will start turning backwards? I mean even if you don't how bout we don't risk it ok - we've got enough to deal with right now so Apple Juice only ok.

The stack of bowls are super cool - they're traditional rice bowls, but the cool part is that if you hold them up to the light there is a see through "rice" design. Also I'm pretty sure on the tag I wrote set of 4 but there are 5 so you get one free!

Cornflower blue. That's all I have to say about that.

The coffee pot does have all of it's parts. The ramekins however are missing their crème Brule which honestly completely degrades their value in my opinion.

Ok, so the Kitchen Aid is great and all but that dust guard is really the prize here, if you're like me, you always mean to slowly add the flour or powdered sugar or whatever but it's never slow enough, then you get yelled at for making a mess all over the kitchen.

So the copper fondue pot is pretty sexy but have you seen the tea pot? It's actually made to be able to steep your tea perfectly, it sits at a tilt while you steep the leaves but when you're done you simply set it right and the leaves are no longer in the tea making sure you don't over steep (which is apparently a thing).

We have no idea what this is. We're pretty sure it's meat tenderizer but it looks like someone took a rolling pin, cut it in half then screwed the bottom of a cast iron golf shoe on there. We're not complaining or anything just wondering why?

I keep meaning to bring food grade oil to the house to make this look nice but I kept forgetting so we wiped this with a wet rag to show you what it could look like if you were a bit more enterprising than me.

Ah, good old Louisiana cook books. Why do other people even make cook books when these exist?

Fun Fact: You probably shouldn't actually feed a Tiger anything in that book.

I wish I had more than on Justin Wilson story to tell so I didn't become that girl who tells the same story over and over but I met him once. He had an elevator in his house. He was the coolest person ever.

So apparently if I buy this book and cook "the most ancient and approved recipes of Virginia" I can be an Accomplished Gentlewoman. Not really my thing but if it sounds good to you - go for it.

I'm gonna be honest, this violin is in rough shape. The neck is barely holding on, there's no strings, (I don't think the bow is strung either) and I think the chin piece is like dangling off. But my God if it still doesn't look just a gorgeous as it would in perfect condition right?

This guitar on the other hand does have strings and the neck is firmly attached. Also it could stand to be restrung but Deirdre's daughter spent all day yesterday strumming on it and it sounded pretty good to me.

So remember downstairs we had the Jinny Lind Day bed? Well here is the companion - the night bed. Just kidding, it's not called that. It is however a great twin size bed.

I found these in the back of a closet. If you looked in the back of my closet the only thing you'd find would be a broken hanger and possibly some old shoe laces.

This is super pretty in person. It's hand colored, but in a professional way and not in a I got bored when i was supposed to be writing tags and decided to do some Adult Coloring Book style coloring on it. I swear I did not color this picture, the artist did.

Here's two more prints by the same artist as before, one of them is an artist proof, which is pretty cool. Also the color story going on with these three is gorgeous.

This is a very old Currier and Ives but the coloring on it was super weird so we thought we might as well show it.

This is a bad picture but the front door was right behind me and it's super hard to get open so I basically had to squish myself in a corner to show you this neat little mission style entry table. You're welcome.

So they had a thing for winged animals. You've seen the ducks but they've got tons of other prints - even the couch wasn't spared.

Oh look what could this possibly be? More ducks you say? How surprising.

I've played Rummy with cards but never dice so this intrigues me. If the checkout line ever gets really backed up it's probably cause I skipped out on my duties to come play with this.

Wow, super bad lighting but there are a couple of cool pieces in this picture. There's an old cigar press, an old hand carved Yugoslavian cup, an old horse, and an old coach!

This monkey lamp is ridiculously one of my favorite things in this sale. It's a take on "Affe mit Schädel" ("Ape with skull") by German sculptor Hugo Rheinhold - as I'm sure you all know. Also he's just so adorable. Little monkey thinks he can read. Silly monkey

So in High School we had a Senior English project on the Canterbury Tales. Each student was given a tale and we had to do like a research paper that was worth half our grade. I was given The Cooks Tale and after spending half my allotted time researching to the point where I was half insane, we discovered the reason I couldn't find a lot on it was because it was UNFINISHED. Yep Chaucer got about half way through and was like "I'm bored" or something and Peaced Out. I had to switch to the Nun's Priest's Tale and write the same paper in half the time. To this day Chaucer is the "He Who Must Not Be Named" of our Family.

The Turn of the Screw is by far the scariest story (I would say ghost story but that's up to you to decide) so scary in fact that the Author himself was spooked by it. Also it's the inspiration for the new Netflix Haunting of Bly Manor. So that sounds like fun.

I can't help it, inside I am a dumb teenage boy because I cannot keep a straight face when I see Tom Swift and his Great Oil Gusher.

Oil on Stream, is not, as I was hoping, a deep scientific analysis of the Particle Throwers from Ghostbusters and what would really happen if you crossed the streams.

There are a lot of books about the outside, which I think would defeat the purpose of the outside and instead encourage people to stay inside and read.

Louisiana Hayride is signed by the Author. Also nary a hayride to be found among it's pages so do with that what you will.

This New Orleans style wooden street car is adorable and so detailed it makes me want to go Vroom Vroom, and I am a grown woman damn it.

This is not a clock. I kept thinking it was a clock from afar and was constantly confused on what time it actually was whenever I glanced it's way.

I do not have a cigar press but I assume if I did, I'd use it as much as my panini press (which much to my mothers dismay is almost never - I promised her one year if I got a Panini press for Christmas I would Panini everything. I, as it turns out, am a big fat liar.)

We have re-organized and made this much prettier, cause in this picture it just looks like someone got half way through putting away their clothes and gave up. Which is something I have been known to do. (That's why beds have two sides you know, so you can just not put the clothes away and sleep on the other side)

This had no cracks or leaks. We know this because we got there one day and it was so full of water it was too heavy to dump out. Then it froze. So that was fun.

There are a lot of planters and outside stuff here.

I am not sure of the state of that grill, don't think we've even opened it yet. For all we know there is a family of squirrels living there, if so they owe us so much back rent.
