Did you know HOA guidelines are NOT legally valid? They cannot prohibit the selling of your personal property. Yes, It has been interesting, and a bit unsettling but we are determined to see our mom's sale through to the end.

Another bit of information: The family is working to honor this wonderful lady and conduct this estate sale on their own. This is their mother's, grandmother's, great-grandmother's, etc... estate. I posted this for them, but they want to handle it. After years of being a resident in this gated community, HOA has been making threats to fine them, they actually did call the police. They tried to close them down, but this HOA soon discovered that legally they could not do that. This is already a heart-wrenching task. You might think there would be some compassion for the grieving families when they have such a daunting task to get through. There is nothing in the handbook they were given saying you cannot have a sale. With all of the unnecessary interruptions that hindered their efforts, and to fully honor and respect her estate, they want to give you guys the opportunity to attend the sale by offering appointments for the next few weeks or until they believe they have done all they can.
