The Occasional Wife is very excited to present our Art/Music/Culture/Sports Memorabilia Estate Sale this Friday-Sunday October 6-8th at 2850 Magazine Street. The hours are Fri-Sat 10AM-6PM and Sunday 12PM-4PM. This is the estate of a very special couple who have been lovingly collecting for over three decades, and it's a fabulous and broad selection of goodies. Highlights include George Hunzinger signed mahogany tilt top game table; autographed albums of Aretha Franklin, Elton John (there's also a plaque with his microphone!!), The Eagles, Cher, Rod Stewart (and signed soccer ball!), The Temptations, Woody Allen; three Royal Sonesta posters; original New Orleans artworks including Robert Bob Graham; Jazzfest posters, including Douglas Bougeoise’s Irma Thomas; vintage flip top game table; petite game box with bakelite poker chips, dice, etc.; 1937 football stamps + 1937 Sun Bowl 1-1-37; 18th c Kama Sutra paintings on silk from Jaipur; Joe Di Maggio signed baseball; Joe Namath signed football; Wilson football signed by Eli Manning 7-12-2003; 1-4-2004 official Nokia Sugar Bowl Badge; 1920-‘30s children’s suede chaps and holster belt from Mexico; Walter Payton signed jersey and Wilson football; Andy Griffith (and other Mayberry faves) autograph and sheriff badge; John Wayne; Tracey Bradley signed guitar from a show in the 2004 Jackson Rodeo, MS; original hand-drawn and painted mockups for ads - Chrysler/Mopar, Kendall-Ewan motor oil, Mobilgas, Starlite Drive-In... UPDATE: please note the 10AM-6PM hours for Friday and Saturday. We will also stay open for Art for Art's Sake from 6-9PM on Saturday October 7th, and Sunday hours are 12-4PM.
