Do you enjoy digging through other folks’ old things, in their home, through boxes, looking for treasure?

Then we’ve got something for you.

Join us for our Digger’s Delight Estate Sale at 3606 Gentilly Blvd in New Orleans on Friday and Saturday August 18-19th AND SUNDAY August 20th 12-4PM.

You might need a flashlight. You’ll definitely need sensible closed-toe shoes, and a bag would be helpful. And, you’ve got to sign a waiver – yes, really. It’s a house that has been unoccupied for a few years (it’s a time capsule in some parts!) and though we felt it’s safe enough for us to work in, you, as our cherished customer and in many cases, friend, have got to sign a waiver not holding us The Occasional Wife or the homeowners responsible for any onsite mishaps. But it’s really a great sale and there’s a ton of things we haven’t even discovered yet that are covered up by other things!

There are two floors to explore, the first is the "basement" and it is a little dark - bring a flashlight, if possible. The second floor is a more organized but with piles and piles of clothing, decor, collectibles, and more.... you'll just have to dig!

Highlights include, but are not limited to:

New Orleans World's Fair visors and hats; cool vintage folding chairs; an old Coca Cola vending machine; deli scale; antique/vintage furniture; oak stepback hoosier helper and the greatest wall of kitchen mottos, molds, + charming home-y elements we've ever seen; costume jewelry + accessories; MCM dining table + caned chairs (the surface is lovely, it's been preserved under furniture pads for years; photo stuff; water jugs; military; many cedar cabinets/wardrobes; dental cabinets (three!); MCM bedroom suites; hurricane lamps; Pyrex; religious icons; tiger oak armoire; records + hi fi, lo fi; and even more mid-century + decor, vintage clothing, costume jewelry, JAX, DIXIE, Art, books, Barbie + Midge & other gals, Fostoria, cool lighting, kitchen stuff + Pyrex, and of course - MORE! THERE'S SOOO MUCH TO UNCOVER AND ENJOY. There's some iron doors and parts and pieces in the side and backyards. On Saturday and Sunday, we will offer bag specials as well, watch for those updates and follow The Occasional Wife for all things vintage, contemporary, unique, and practical!
