This French Acadian cotton plantation was built in the 1870's and was won in a card game during the 1880's by Theogene Bertrand and has been called these last 130 plus years the "Betrand Plantation".

This estate has been minimally updated and features all of the original outbuildings including the dry good store, the two barns, the chicken coop, potato shed, newer chicken coop, the dairy barn and the black smith shop that sat on this beautiful property back when it was built in the 1870's.  The upstairs of the house has never been updated at all except to add electricity in the 1940's and features the original cypress planks and ladder to get upstairs where the young men slept.

The estate features many of the original farm equipment that has been on this property for many years.

1947 and 1953 Farm All  crank tractors (but can be started with batteries) and includes all of the farm implements that go with each tractor

Many tractor implements, plus hay rakes, wagons, and buckboards.  We even have a mule driven John Deere implement.

Farming antiques--

crocks, chicken roosts, iron wagon wheels, early buckets, troughs, harnesses, hay racks, hay rakes, and farm hand tools, animal pens, and fine OLD wood from many of the building will be available to purchase. PLUS the cypress wood original to the house is available for purchase.

We have many of the original shutters, doors, and cypress pickets available for purchase. The three  sets of galley doors are 7 ft tall and the original front door is 6 1/2 foot tall.  Plus we have several of the original windows with the wavy early glass.  Be sure to look at the original picture of the house to authenticate the house pieces.
