Jeannie lived most of her adult life in the Mayer home in Opelousas. Most of the antiques in this sale are from that home, some are from the nuns who were at A.I.C. Her home is full of antiques - two antique China cabinets (one is very large), full size tester bed, single tester bed, two large marble topped dressers, a large selection of marble top tables (varying shapes and sizes), nice all wood relatively new dining table with leaves and four matching side chairs and two arm chairs, parlor settee, ladies and two gent's chairs, three drawer French Provencial chest, small drop leaf side table, drop leaf dining table with four matching chairs, antique organ, large two door armoire, antique barley twist oak fern stand with brass, antique Eastlake side table with marble inset, oak barrister bookcase, nice vintage three drawer secretary, antique rockers, antique marble top washstand, very nice Brandt corner chair, several mirrors (one very large gold leaf framed - another is an antique Eastlake), antique marble top nightstand.
Large selection of sterling and silver plate pieces,several sets of stems (some are very old). Set of vintage Johnson Brothers China, set of "Carleton" - 61 pieces Castleton China, beautiful crawfish/lobster dishes by JWK dishes made in West Germany. Many framed prints and oil paintings.
Many college and Opelousas Catholic yearbooks. Large variety of lamps. A good selection of American Fostoria pieces, collection of angels and religious items.
