This sale is like walking back in time and filled with so much history. The Original Journal of Court Records Is on display Documenting the Appointment of Judge Seth Lewis Dated May 2, 1813. Wow!!🙌 Judge Seth Lewis was born in 1764 and was the 1st District Judge appointed under Governor Claiborne in the State of Louisiana and studied Law in Nashville under Andew Jackson before he became President of the United States. Most of the furniture belonged to the original Judge Lewis & his wife. Judge Lewis died in 1848 and was Seth(Beau) Lewis’ sixth Great Grandfather. Judge Lewis,...
