Transition Estate Sales
Description & Details
This home belonged to 3rd Star General Richard M. Hoban who was stationed at Barksdale, AFB in Shreveport, La. After many tours in foreign countries, he moved his family to the home the sale is held. He and his wife admired many antiques they spotted and shipped some home to adore their family home. Some have been given to family and a few are still displayed in the home.
A very large hall tree and a teakwood room divider are by the front door. Also a desk and chair also in the living room, is over 100 years old and in great condition. Also is dining table with chairs, display cabinet, old organ and very old piano. Small tea cart from Italy and a wonderful teakwood bar cabinet was purchased in Thailand. Also many of his old trunks that were used to bring he, his wife and two daughter’s items home are also on the patio. Some one may be interested in one of them. The table with Mardi Gras masks were all purchased by his daughter, Debra, who had a passion for them and believe she purchased every one she could find. These daughters loved to buy clothes , as you will see, each closet will packed and the prices are great. Also many pairs of shoes jackets and few formal coats. In another bedroom are pictures , I believe were painted by daughters, also a small church pew and a table of roasters. Another bedroom is full of wonderful games I played as a child, and a great young man the girls all loved, Pee Wee Herman and many more interesting items to see. Also a large table of various sizes of nut crackers to choose from. Another bedroom full of clothes, packages of new hose, boxes of scarves, belts, and so much more, Several musical instruments including a fiddle.
On patio is some patio furniture, pots, and other items. Office is full of CD’s, DVD’s, albums, music equipment, books and more.
Many beautiful liquor decanters, possibly bought from over seas in display cases and glassware,
Please look thru all pictures in house and garage. I am sure I missed listing a lot of great items including two pairs of women’s golf shoes, size 6 and 61/2. One looks like they made have been worn once, and other have not been worn. They will be up by the check out table.
