James Fenimore Cooper IV and Edna Shaheen Cooper settled along the banks of the Vermillion River in Vermilion Parish on a 78 acre farm and raised a family while Mr. Jim worked in the oil field as a geologist.
James Fenimore Cooper IV (Jim) is the direct descendant of the American Heritage writer James Fenimore Cooper (famous for The Deerslayer and The Last of the Mohicans and William Cooper, founder of Cooperstown , New York. The oldest son from each generation was named James Fenimore and each generation inherited the historical items from the family. Mr. Jim inherited these artifacts from his generation and I am extremely excited to offer them to you in a Once in a Life Time Estate Sale Please take a moment to review pictures and do not hesitate to contact me to ask questions or require more pictures.
