 Like anywhere throughout New England, local history takes a precedent when identifying eras of use to various buildings, residential and otherwise.  Here in Barnstable, a stone's throw from the village, is a house where 20thC generations enjoyed summer visits with parents and grandparents.  The family, sadly, must now let the property go, but the objects still inside reflect a curatorial philosophy to many categories.  Yankee Estate Sales is pleased to offer several significant collections this weekend as well as an array of Vintage cottage style furnishings.

ANTIQUES - Collection of antique baskets incl. miniatures, those in paint, berry and sewing baskets, gathering and utility baskets - All are late 19thc/early 20thC;  Early brass candlesticks, hogscraper sticks, fluid lamps, EAPG, ironstone serveware, Primitives, Vintage kitchenware; Very Nice cased ship model of 1805 Swift (a Virginia Pilot boat), C. 1925 American Multigraph Sales Co. typesetter tabletop cabinet, multidrawer tabletop card file.

MILITARY MINIATURES - Upwards of 1000 hand crafted & painted lead figures & accessories depicting American and International Regiments, Large group American Revolutionary War figures, many mixed lots incl. JOHN STOBART, ARTIST - A family member was a personal friend of John Stobart, Marine Artist - collection includes signed oil on board of clipper ship, signed print of ship at sea, Stobart book "The World of Sail & Steam" signed & inscribed by Stobart, other books with personal inscriptions, J. Stobart correspondence & memorabilia.
