Terms & Conditions

Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you are the winning bidder, you are committed to purchasing and picking up your item(s) or making shipping arrangements. Please do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.
If you bid, you MUST be available, or arrange for, the pickup of your purchases on the scheduled pickup date, unless you are having your order shipped.
In order to place a bid, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Caring Transitions, you irrevocably authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with your purchase, including but not limited to taxes, shipping, and handling fees. You must approve shipping and handling fees, then we process that invoice to your card on file. This could take 1-2 business days especially if you approve a shipping invoice late on Friday.
If you default on your purchase for any reason, your bidding privileges will be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase. All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold with no refund. For those who abandon furniture or other large items, a $40 convenience/restocking fee will be added to your account balance. Account balances must be repaid before bidding privilege reinstatement is considered.
Our team is available to assist with loading your vehicle and moving heavy objects/furniture unless otherwise noted in an item's description. We DO NOT provide boxes or packaging material. Buyers are responsible for the safe transport of their own items.
Receipts are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed. Full payment must be received by noon the day following auction close or your items may be resold and your bidding privileges will be revoked. Full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders’ invoices. If you do not receive a copy of your invoice via email, please log into your account on CTBIDS and visit Invoices/Receipts.
Shipping and handling payments are due immediately upon receipt of invoice.
Shipping is available for SOME ITEMS at the Buyer's expense. We use USPS and UPS mail. $5-25 in handling charges will be added to your sales invoice. We combine purchases from the same sale whenever possible but large lots of delicate items may incur additional fees.
Not all Lots can be shipped. If you require shipping on an item not marked "shippable," please send an email before bidding to moreinfo@CaringTransitions.com to inquire and let us know you will need shipping.
Within 10 business days of the pick up date, your order will be packaged and we. will calculate shipping/handling. You will receive an email asking you to approve these charges. Once you approve them, we will process the charge within 1-2 business days. Your account will show "unpaid" until we process the charges.
Bid Retraction: We only retract bids under certain select circumstances and at our sole discretion. We will not retract bids within 48 hours of auction close. You have 2 hours within placing a bid to contact us to retract an incorrectly placed maximum bid. Abuse of the bid retraction policy will result in account suspension.
ALL questions about items including flaws, originality of artwork, quality of jewelry, etc. MUST be asked BEFORE bidding. If an item has been shipped to you and you have any questions or concerns, you MUST report this within two (2) days.
A 15% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final bid amount.
We have made every effort to describe all items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS, and where is. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate.
Listings times have a soft close. Extra time may be added to ending times to allow bidders more time to win. This will give you time to receive an outbid notification and place a higher bid and mimics what happens in a live auction where the auctioneer asks for any last bids before making the sale.
